Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 may be ending, but The Bachelor is just around the corner — sort of. The new bachelor hasn’t been announced just yet, but ABC promised fans the big reveal will come soon. Of course, this means viewers are speculating who will take on the role for Season 24. As of now, Peter Weber from Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette is a clear frontrunner. But will Weber be the next bachelor? There are plenty of great options for 2020, including Derek Peth and Mike Johnson. So fans are hoping the reality series made the right choice.

When will the next bachelor be announced?
Bachelor Nation found out Colton Underwood’s bachelor status on Good Morning America. However, the announcement will stay within the franchise for the 24th season. According to the promo trailer for the Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 finale, the new bachelor will be revealed during the reunion special.
“The moment you’ve all been waiting for,” host Chris Harrison says in the preview as stunned faces flash by. “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome our next bachelor.”
After months of speculation, fans will finally meet the new bachelor when the finale special airs on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. ET. It’s also likely the announcement will be made towards the end of the episode. So make sure you stick around.
Reality Steve reports Weber as the lead for ‘The Bachelor’ Season 24
It’s no secret the Bachelor in Paradise reunion for season 6 was filmed prior to the Sept. 17 air date on ABC. This means there are a select few who already know what’s to come in the finale episode.
Following the taping on Aug. 27, Bachelor Nation connoisseur, Reality Steve, shared Pilot Pete will be introduced as the new bachelor for 2020. That being said, nothing has been confirmed by ABC, and fans will have to wait and see what happens when the special episode is released.
Weber spotted filming at LAX
Regardless, it seems Weber is getting ready for something interesting. On Sept. 12, Reality Steve posted photos of the Delta pilot filming at Los Angeles International Airport. The blogger also claimed Weber was taping his introduction video for The Bachelor.
When does ‘The Bachelor’ Season 24 premiere?
Bachelor Nation has their schedule down to a science. But if you’re new to the franchise, don’t worry. Here’s the breakdown. Typically, The Bachelor returns on the first Monday of January. This is followed by The Bachelorette in May. Meanwhile, Bachelor in Paradise starts when The Bachelorette ends in August. The cycle then begins again with a few spinoffs — like The Bachelor Winter Games — sprinkled in between.
As the sixth season of Bachelor in Paradise is about to come to a close, this means the next season of The Bachelor in on deck. And if ABC chooses to honor tradition, then it looks like The Bachelor Season 24 will pick up on Jan. 6, 2020. However, a release date has yet to be confirmed. So viewers will just have to stay tuned.
Winter is coming, which means The Bachelor franchise is on the horizon, and — as always — fans aren’t too thrilled about it. Nevertheless, the big bachelor announcement will be made soon. And hopefully, the news will keep everyone occupied until the next season kicks off.
