Will Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis Be In Princess Beatrice’s Wedding?

There’s another royal wedding in the works as Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s oldest daughter, Princess Beatrice, is engaged to property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Since the pair announced their engagement on Sept. 26, royal fans have been asking questions about what the bride will wear, when and where they will say “I do,” and will Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children be part of the wedding party.

Here’s what we know about if Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will have roles in Beatrice’s royal wedding.

When and where Princess Beatrice will get married

The palace announced the happy news via Instagram along with a statement from the princess and her fiancé:

“We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement. We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married. We share so many similar interests and values, and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.”

Not a ton of details about their nuptials have been released but the wedding is set to take place in 2020 and it will be in the U.K. There was some speculation that it might happen in Italy to honor the groom’s Italian roots. However, when the princess’ mother was asked about that the Duchess of York said, “It can only be Britain.”

It’s believed that Beatrice will say “I do” closer to her home because her grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, wouldn’t want to fly to Europe for the ceremony.

Many royal experts agree that Princess Beatrice is going to tap her cousin’s children to be in her bridal party especially since this will be the last royal wedding for some time.

Once Beatrice and Mozzi tie the knot, we won’t see another royal wedding for a number of years as Queen Elizabeth’s other grandchildren are far too young to get married anytime soon. This means that it could be the last time we see Prince George and Prince Charlotte in their pageboy and bridesmaid roles and the only time we see Prince Louis take on the special role.

“It’s a reminder that we’re running out of royal weddings,” Kaitlin Menza said on the podcast Royally Obsessed. But she did mention one other wedding coming up that the Cambridge kiddos could be a part of.

Middleton’s brother, James, recently proposed to his girlfriend, Alizee. While it won’t be a royal wedding James’ will likely be a high-profile affair just as his sister Pippa’s was in 2017, when George and Charlotte made their bridal party debut. Therefore, it’s possible that James will have his niece and nephews in his wedding as well.

“I hope James’ is on the scale of Pippa’s in that we get to see all the images at the church so we feel included,” Menza said.
