Will Stan Lee Be in ‘Avengers: Endgame’?

Stan Lee is undoubtedly one of the most well-known comic book writers and creators of all time, and rightfully so. Lee, who passed away last year, was a vital part of the success that Marvel has attained, from the point where he helped create The Fantastic Four in 1961 to helping the company reach monumental success with their Blockbuster films.

It wasn’t only that Lee was a creative genius who gave birth to many of the world’s most favorite superheroes that made him so visible to the public: It was also his personality, which most described as fun and friendly. Lee was a humorous and outgoing showman who truly enjoyed what he did and this is obvious is in his cameos.

Lee has made a small cameo appearance in a great number of films, but the best of these include the ones he’s done for his own films. Sometimes the cameos are obvious, while other times they aren’t so easy to find. Many fans make a game out of trying to find Lee in each of Marvel’s films, and now people are wondering if he’ll appear posthumously in Avengers 4: Endgame

Does Stan Lee cameo in ‘Avengers: Endgame’?

For those who are wondering whether they should be watching for Lee’s cameo in the final film of this MCU phase, the answer is yes.

Many were shocked to see Lee appear in Captain Marvel, despite the fact he’d passed away quite some time before the film hit theaters. The film, which featured a unique Marvel logo in honor of his amazing and impactful life, is the first to be released after Lee’s death. The logo was transformed using images from all of Lee’s cameos from over the years, and the altered logo was followed with the words: “Thank you, Stan.”

How is Stan Lee still making cameos?

The question many fans have is how Stan Lee still makes cameos when he passed away on November 12, 2018, at 95 years old. Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, explained how this is being accomplished. Prior to his death, Lee shot several cameo appearances in advance. At 95, the writer knew not to take anything for granted, so we’re sure — although this part is not confirmed in the interview — that Lee was thinking of his fans when he did those pre-recordings.

What Feige does have to say; however, is that there are a few more cameos recorded: “We’ll see… We shot a couple of others, so we’re coming up on the last of them, yes.” The answer came to a question about whether or not a Lee cameo will appear in Spider-Man: Homecoming. This makes most fans assume that yes, Lee will also make a cameo in that film as well. But as for future movies, that is still up in the air.

Why did Stan Lee do cameos in the first place?

It’s been an ongoing question for fans as to why Lee ever decided to begin doing cameos in the first place. The idea of spotting Lee in Marvel’s films has been a part of the comic book’s fan base identity since the beginning. As to why? A few years ago, the comic book creator answered this question in what can only be described as a very ‘Stan Lee’ way.

“It’s fun,” said Lee. “For about 12 seconds, I feel like I’m an actor. Every kid wants to be an actor. When I was a kid, I thought, ‘Oh, it’d be great to be like Errol Flynn. I want to be an actor.’ So I do my cameo. For that brief period, I’m an actor.”
