Will the Media Focus More on Baby Archie Than the Cambridge Kids?
The entire world recently jumped up and down in excitement at the news Baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is finally here. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry can hardly contain their excitement, and we can’t blame them.
Fans as well as the news media can’t wait to see more of the precious newborn, as we only caught a glimpse of him as he napped in in father’s arms. When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex make their next appearance with their son, there will certainly be plenty of photographers just waiting to get a picture. So, will the media be more focused on Baby Archie than the Cambridge kids?
We saw the Cambridge kids as soon as they were born
Although we didn’t find out their names for a few days, as is typical royal protocol, Kate and William wasted no time introducing their kids to the world. Very soon after they were born, Kate, looking completely put together from head to toe, stepped out alongside her husband with a new bundle in her arms. There were close up shots of all of the children’s cute faces, and details were released within days.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were very private in the months leading up to the birth
As was not the case with William and Kate, Meghan and Harry were very tight-lipped before the arrival of Archie. No one knew whether Meghan would be delivering at a hospital or at home, and we didn’t know when her due date was, either. It was quite a surprise when, immediately following Archie’s birth, the news was revealed that Meghan had given birth to a healthy baby boy weighing in at 7 lbs, 3 oz since we weren’t expecting to find out the details for a few days at least. It looks like the new royal parents were just too excited to keep the good news to themselves.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are raising their children according to royal protocol
Kate and William are exceptional hands-on parents, engaging with and taking part in their children’s life whenever their schedules permit. When they have royal engagements or duties to tend to; however, George, Charlotte, and Louis are well-taken care of by the family’s nanny. We don’t see pictures of them very often, unless it is at an official event, such as a wedding, christening, or an appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
Harry and Meghan, by contrast, are said to be planning on doing things their own way, even without hiring any help to take care of Archie. This has, of course, piqued the interest of the news media as well as royal fans, as we can’t wait to see what is in store for the newest member of the royal family.
The media will take an interest in Baby Archie
Chances are, the news media is anxious to see what Meghan and Harry’s parenting guidelines are going to be. They are very quiet about the details of what is going on with Archie so far, and we can imagine that once everyone’s questions are answered, photographers won’t be any more focused on him than they are on the Cambridge children.
Most likely, we will see Archie at royal events, just like we did with his cousins, and we certainly hope that Meghan and Harry are planning some official family photographs sooner rather than later. Just like everyone else, we are just waiting to see what the future holds for Archie Harrison.
