Will There Be a New Season of ‘Little People, Big World’? New Trailer Promises ‘Big Changes’ for the Roloff Family
It’s been 14 years since television viewers first met the Roloff family. The family’s TLC series Little People, Big World, premiered in 2006. It focuses Matt and Amy Roloff, who have dwarfism, and their children Molly, Jacob, and Jeremy, who are all of average stature, and Zach, who is a little person.
Over the years, fans have followed along as the Roloffs have experienced many of life’s ups and downs, including health challenges, weddings, babies, and divorce. The show was even briefly canceled in 2010 before TLC changed its mind and decided to bring it back. Now a decade later, fans are wondering when a new season of Little People, Big World will premiere.
‘Little People, Big World’ returns March 31
Roloff family fans worried about a repeat of the 2010 cancellation drama needn’t fret. The family will be back on the small screen starting March 31, when a new season of Little People, Big World premieres at 9/8c on TLC.
It’s been roughly 10 months since new episodes have aired. There have been plenty of developments since the show went on hiatus in early June 2019. The new installments of the show will see the Roloffs grappling with some major changes, some happy and some stressful.
A season of ‘big changes’ and ‘new beginnings’ for the Roloff family
In the new season, the Roloffs will be experiencing “big changes” and “new beginnings,” according to TLC.
Amy and Matt divorced in 2016, but they’re still working on disentangling their lives. For her, that means finally selling her stake in Roloff Farms to her ex-husband and finding a place of her own. She also reaches a new milestone in her relationship with boyfriend Chris when he presents her with a diamond ring — and a proposal of marriage. Meanwhile, Matt and his girlfriend Caryn are also thinking about their future together.
“Everything has changed on the farm,” Amy says in a trailer for the new season. “Family that I thought would be forever is different now.”
Zach and Tori get ready for their new baby
Big developments are also happening in the life of the Roloff kids. Zach, now 29, has grown up a lot since he made his first appearance on Little People, Big World as a teen. He’s been married to his wife Tori since 2015, and they welcomed their first child, a boy named Jackson, in 2017.
Now, Tori is pregnant again, this time with a little girl. As the couple wait to welcome their new arrival, they’re also eager to find out whether she will be a little person like her dad and older brother.
What’s going on with the other Roloff kids?
While Zach and Tori still appear of LPBW, viewers won’t see much of the three other kids. Zach’s twin Jeremy and his wife Audrey left the show in 2018. But fans can still keep up with the couple. They’re both active on social media, have a podcast, and published a book of marriage advice in 2019.
Amy and Zach’s two other children, Molly and Jacob, are more under the radar. Jacob hasn’t appeared on the show in several years. In a lengthy Instagram post from 2016, he explained that he wasn’t on board with the way that producers manufactured storylines. “[T]he agenda of the crew doesn’t work well with the health & happiness of our family,” he wrote.
“[T]he family that is filmed is not my family,” he added. “They are the Roloff Characters and I have scarcely anything in common with them, nor do I want to be a character myself.”
Molly keeps an even lower profile than Jacob. Her Instagram is set to private, though she occasionally pops up in photos shared by other family members. She’s married and reportedly lives in Spokane, Washington.
