‘You’: This Fan Theory Suggests That an Original Cast Member Will Be Making Their Return in Season 2

Season 2 of Netflix’s You definitely has a lot in store for fans.

Aside from the many new faces we were already introduced to, this season will include even more dark and twisted Joe Goldberg moments that we’re afraid yet excited to see on December 26.

While we definitely have a lot to look forward to in Season 2, fans really want to see this member from the original cast reprise their role and if they do, Joe’s in for a very rude awakening.

Fans are hoping Peach Salinger makes a surprise return

The new season of You is right around the corner and though we already know who’s part of the main cast, there is one original member we really want to see make a comeback.

If you were one of the many people who was extremely invested in Season 1, then you know that Joe made a few enemies while trying to pursue Beck.

Though he didn’t have a problem getting rid of those who got in between himself and the aspiring writer, there was one person who didn’t go down without a fight and that, of course, was Peach Salinger (played by Shay Mitchell).

Oh, you’ll love Peach. She’s sweet as hell.

Joe and Peach never really saw eye to eye and the NYC heiress was suspicious of the book store clerk ever since she first met him.

Peach always suspected that Joe wasn’t as innocent as he pretended to be and wasn’t afraid to call him out on this whenever she got the chance.

With Peach always getting in his way when it came to Beck, Joe tried going after her not once, but twice.

First, he hit her over the head with a rock in Central Park. Seeing as though Peach lived through that attack, he went after her a second time, which ended with him shooting her outside of her family’s Greenwich home.

While it seemed like Joe had finally gotten rid of Peach once and for all, fans have a suspicion that she isn’t actually dead and will be coming back to expose the leading man’s dark side in Season 2.

This fan theory isn’t too far-fetched

While this fan theory might sound like false hope to some, people have been pointing out certain clues that could indicate Joe never killed Peach and to be honest, they’re pretty convincing.

The theory in question comes in a tweet that was posted back in January. It notes that although viewers heard Joe’s gun go off, we never actually saw Peach get shot.

The user also points out that since Joe ran away right after shooting Beck’s bestie, he never made sure she was actually dead.

In addition to all of this, Peach’s pal from medical school was staying in her house, but no one ever saw him leave. So, there is a good chance that he heard the gunshot and rushed outside to aid Peach, ultimately saving her life.

Now we know what you’re thinking, “if all of this is, in fact, true, then why was a funeral service held for Peach?”

Since Joe had it out for Peach from the beginning, fans can easily guess that her funeral and her family hiring a private investigator were just cover ups. With Joe assuming that Peach is dead, this will allow her to ambush him when he least expects it and finally get her revenge.

There are a few other theories surrounding Peach’s return

If it turns out that Peach is actually dead, there is a chance she could still be featured in Season 2.

After watching Season 1, it became clear that Joe has a guilty conscience and constantly thinks about those he’s caused harm to (i.e his ex-girlfriend, Candace).

So, if Joe actually does feel bad about killing Peach, there is a good chance she’ll pop up in one of his many flashbacks and might even make him go even more crazy than he already is.

While these things could definitely happen during in the new season, we’ll just have to wait and see if they actually do.
