You Won’t Believe How Much Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino’s Jersey Shore Wedding Cost

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino might be going to prison for tax evasion, but that didn’t stop him from having a luxury wedding to his college girlfriend and fiancée, Lauren Pesce. The pair, who announced their engagement in April, hosted guests for their big day at the Legacy Castle in New Jersey on November 1.

Sorrentino and Pesce didn’t cut corners when it came to planning their wedding, as the photos US Weekly shared reveal. How much did the couple spend on their Jersey Shore wedding? Let’s see if we can find out.

  • Cost: $2,570

Pesce walked down the aisle in a Pronovias gown with long sleeves that she purchased at Castle Couture, a bridal store in New Jersey. The dress doesn’t appear to be listed on the store’s website (which also doesn’t show prices), but it is available at Nordstrom. The embroidered illusion crepe and tulle mermaid gown costs $2,570.

Her matching veil could have added significantly to the cost of her wedding day outfit. Luxury bridal shop Kleinfeld, of Say Yes to the Dress fame, has several veils for sale that cost $1,000 and up.

The luxury wedding venue

  • Cost: As much as $61,500

The Situation and his bride married at The Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, in front of 205 guests. The 82,000-square-foot venue opened in 2017 and is surrounded by two lakes. The elaborate banquet hall features “wrought iron railings with gold leaf detailing, exquisite chandeliers with cascading crystals, a lavish interior 15ft marble fountain, and center exterior courtyard with a 21ft granite fountain complete with a manicured garden,” according to the website.

Getting married at this high-end spot isn’t cheap. Prices are $300 per person on prime nights, according to NorthJersey.com. With more than 200 guests, Pesce and Sorrentino could have spent $61,500. However, the couple did marry on a Thursday, so it’s possible their costs were somewhat lower.

The groom’s tux

  • Cost: $995 for the groom and groomsmen

The Situation and his groomsmen ditched their typical Jersey Shore duds for something a bit more formal in honor of the big day. The guys wore tuxedos from Robbie’s NYC, according to US Weekly.

According to the store’s website, tux rentals start at $199, which includes the jacket, pants, shirt, vest, tie, and pocket square, as well as cufflinks, shirt studs, and even shoes. If that’s what the Situation paid, it would have cost $995 to dress him and his four groomsmen. If they purchased their tuxedos, the cost could have been considerably more.

The cake

  • Cost: $1,097 on average

The couple chose Confections of a Rockstar to bake their stunning five-tier cake. We don’t know how much it cost exactly, but wedding website the Knot says that people who spend more than $60,000 on a wedding spend an average of $1,097 on the cake. Plus, there was a Funfetti-filled groom’s cake, which would have added to the total cost.

Venue, attire, and food are some of the biggest wedding expenses, but they’re not the only ones. A photographer, DJ, invitations, flowers, rings (including an engagement ring) and other expenses can push the total cost of a wedding into the six figures. Given that the Situation got married in New Jersey, where the average wedding costs $62,074, it’s possible that he and Pesce spent more than $100,000 on their big day.

One area where they probably saved on costs? The videographer. The wedding was filmed for the upcoming season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
