You’ll Never Guess Princess Charlotte’s Favorite Activity
Princess Charlotte is growing up so fast. The 2-year-old just embarked on her first day of school, and it looks like she’s more than ready to take the world by storm. Though her older brother Prince George has garnered a ton of attention in the past, Princess Charlotte is ready for her closeup with her epic hair bows and her adorable peacoats.
The pint-sized princess is a new student at Willcocks Nursery School, which should be fantastic for her since her parents, Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton, will have their hands full with their baby, Prince Louis, born in April.
With the whole world at her feet to learn and explore, the tiny heir to the throne already has a ton of extracurriculars. In fact, you’ll never guess Princess Charlotte’s absolute favorite activity. We’ll also take a closer look at her school.
An idyllic childhood

Though we’re all interested in the royal family as a whole, we often forget that Princess Charlotte and Prince George are also being thrust into the spotlight. Knowing how ruthless the press and the public can be, Duchess Kate and Prince William have taken precautions when it comes to making sure their kiddos live normal, stable lives.
Instead of allowing their kids to be photographed by the press, the duchess takes photos on her own, and they are then posted on the Kensington Palace website and social media handles. It’s just one way to keep the young prince and princess insulated.
The future is female

Though her new sibling is a boy, Princess Charlotte will still pull rank over him in the line of succession. As appalling as it may seem, that hasn’t always been the case.
Though her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II currently sits on the throne, male heirs actually trumped female heirs 2013. Luckily, the queen did away with that archaic rule, so Princess Charlotte will remain fourth in line to the throne, moving to third once her grandfather, Prince Charles, takes over.
A sports legend

Though she’s only a toddler, it seems like Princess Charlotte already has a pretty lengthy list of activities that she adores indulging in. A source told Us Weekly that she loves sports and staying active. The source explained that the princess already knows how to swim, she’s “a whiz” on her tricycle, and she’s quick enough to keep up with her big brother.
We wonder if the princess will be good enough to compete on an Olympic level someday.

It appears that Princess Charlotte has a love and aptitude for tennis in particular. Apparently the two-year-old is already proving just what she can do with a tennis racket.
According to Us Weekly, the princess attends private sessions at The Hurlingham Club in London. A source told the magazine, “Mum or Dad always stays close by to support her, but she’s quite the natural!”
Soccer fun

While Princess Charlotte loves tennis, Prince George seems to have a knack for football or, as we say in America, soccer. Though soccer is not necessarily the princess’ game, she’s not going to let her big brother have all the fun.
Us Weekly reported, “Charlotte loves to chase him around. They’re both very active children.”
A confident princess

After seeing her nursery school photos, many fans are already saying that Princess Charlotte resembles her late grandmother, Princess Diana. However, her features and appearance aren’t the only things she may have gotten from the late Princess of Wales.
People is reporting that the princess is also super confident and willing to speak to anyone. A source explained, “She’s very sweet and very confident — she’s always chatting away.”

We love the fact that the next generation of girls is going to grow up right alongside Princess Charlotte. She’s already showing us just how courageous she is. Not only is she interested in sports, but she’s also reportedly fearless.
A source explained to Us Weekly, “She’s not afraid of a grazed knee and it’s most certainly not going to stop her from running around the corridors like a girl possessed. Charlotte’s always got her eye on something and she moves at the speed of life!”
A bossy young royal

In addition to being confident, the princess also has a bossy streak. Queen Elizabeth II revealed as much about her great-granddaughter when talking to a 10-year-old named Emily, who won a bible signed by Her Majesty for a school religious education project.
According to the Eastern Daily Press, when the queen met the prize winner and her little sister, Hadleigh, she asked if Emily “looked after” her 6-year-old sibling. But the girls’ mother, Ellen said, “It’s the other way around.” To which Queen Elizabeth responded by saying, “It’s like that with Charlotte and George.”

Someone else who admitted that the princess calls the shots is her own mother. In March 2017, the Duchess of Cambridge discussed her children with fellow mom Samantha Burge at an event unveiling a war memorial.
“She said that Charlotte is growing up really fast. She is the one in charge,” said Burge. “We have both got 2-year-olds and they are ruling the roost. It was a bit of a mummy chat.”

Charlotte not only bosses her brother around, but she also chases after George as well so playtime at the royal residence involves Charlotte running around after him.
“Charlotte loves to chase him around. They’re both very active children,” a source told Us Weekly. “They still like a bit of rough and tumble. She’s not afraid of a grazed knee and it’s most certainly not going to stop her from running around the corridors.”

Charlotte’s mother recently gave birth to her third child, and the toddler is reportedly delighted that she is going to be a big sister. The princess loves playtime with George so she is really going to enjoy that with another sibling.
A royal insider noted that Charlotte “plays baby with [dolls]. So I think she is probably expecting the new brother or sister will be the same game — but in real life.”

The youngest member of the royal reportedly enjoys playing Disney princesses as she is still unaware of the status she was born into. And she also loves pretending to cook with her baking toys alongside her mother and the kitchen staff at Kensington Palace.
“Whenever the housekeeper or Kate are preparing food, Charlotte needs her own toy set by her side to imitate,” a palace insider revealed.
