YouTube’s Highest Paid Star in 2019 Earned $26 Million

Many people are aware that YouTube is a very big business these days. The site used to simply be a platform that hosted videos, though nowadays it is a launching pad for creators who would like to have a career making content for fans.

Although making it big on YouTube is rather difficult, some of the most popular people on the site have the potential to rake in a ton of money. In fact, in 2019, the highest-paid YouTube star made a whopping $26 million.

Ryan Kaji is the name of the star behind Ryan’s World, a channel that reviews children’s toys, performs experiments, and teaches kids fun and educational things.

With the help of his parents, Kaji started making YouTube videos in 2015 when he was around 3 years old. At the time, the channel was called Ryan ToysReview, and most of the videos involved Kaji unboxing toys and playing with them in front of a camera. After a few months, the channel began acquiring more and more views. Since then, he has become one of the most popular children’s channels on the platform, amassing more than 22 million subscribers and 33 billion views.

“It’s the biggest of this genre of programming that is getting billions of views a week on YouTube,” TubeFilter founder, Josh Cohen, said of Kaji’s toy videos. “Really nobody is talking about it, but it’s crazy once you start scratching the surface.”

Kaji’s fame has no doubt made him rather influential in the toy business. It has been reported that his videos, especially the widely-viewed ones, do affect the sales of toys.

How Ryan Kaji earned $26 million in 2019

As with many popular YouTube channels out there, Ryan’s World earns a lot of money from advertising products and being sponsored by brands.

However, Kaji has an array of products under his name as well. He has his own line of toys at Walmart, a brand of toothbrushes, a mobile app, and a video game.

Kaji also stars on a show on Nickelodeon called Ryan’s Mystery Playdate. It has been said that he has a deal with Hulu as well.
