Celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Pink (as displayed at the Grammys), and Reese Witherspoon, are taking their workouts off the ground with aerial fitness. Said to help with weight loss, building lean muscle, and improved flexibility, this workout is performed using two strips of fabric that are hanging from the ceiling. The classes are full of crazy in-air exercises and besides the health benefits, the workout promises to be incredibly fun.

2. Modo Yoga

In 2014, hot is out, and cold is in — when it comes to yoga, that is. A favorite of Katie Holmes and Russell Simmons, Modo Yoda — also known as cold yoga — promises a calm, safe environment free of the steamy “hot box” found in Bikram yoga. With temperatures set under 100 degrees, these classes can help reduce stress and anxiety, burn calories, and improve posture and flexibility. Now, cycling is getting even more intense with Flywheel — an indoor spinning class that combines climbs, descents, and weight-training, all while peddling away to your favorite upbeat tunes.
