The sartorially adept man knows just how much a watch can up his style game — its function is merely an added bonus to this accessory. This past week marked the annual Geneva Watch Show, better known as the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie Genève, where celebrated watch makers from around the globe debut the latest and greatest in luxury watches. SIHH was created as a private event to promote fine watches in a beautiful setting for elite clientele to discuss the future of the luxury watch industry. Although it was hard to choose from a large assortment of timepieces that are pieces of art, here are five of the best from this year’s show.
1. Vacheron Constantin Overseas Collection

This prestigious Swiss label updated its popular Overseas Collection that’s loved for its rich blues and steel straps. The Overseas Chronograph model stands out for its ultra-thin calibres, which features 22-carat gold oscillating weights and a standout blue face, and is one of the more standard size models that we’re coveting.
2. Roger Dubuis Excalibur Automatic Skeleton Carbon

3. Drive de Cartier
You can’t ever go wrong with a Cartier. This understated collection broadens the brand’s appeal in a way that hasn’t been done for quite some time. The Drive de Cartier collection offers a range of options from steel, to gold to a flying tourbillon model. It also confers status and prestige with Roman numerals and slim design.
4. HYT Skull Maori
This watch appears quasi-evil but fully cool. The ominous bold skull-themed timepiece runs on capillary, which uses fluid mechanics as an hour marker that has become the brand’s signature style. Naturally, HYT would use blood red as the color choice for the liquid in the watch. Although we can’t quite figure out how this watch works, HYT has clearly mastered it: The secret probably accounts for the watch’s hefty price tag — a whopping $12,000.
5. Audemars Piguet Diamond Fury Haute Joaillerie

The blingiest of bling, this watch is a truly exceptional visual creation and we have to say that nothing comes close to topping this incredible piece from Audemars Piguet. The bawdy piece may leave you scared to walk down the street, considering that there are 4,635 diamonds in the case and band with another 206 on the dial. Constructed from a combination of 18-karat white gold and roughly 26 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds, this piece takes highly skilled craftsmen approximately 1,500 hours to build. Although it strikes onlookers as a bracelet, it’s secretly a watch that the ladies are sure to love you in. This watch will set you back about $600,000.
