1. Stock Mfg Co High Life Heritage Collection

Chicago-based menswear purveyor Stock Mfg Co had the right idea when they found inspiration in Miller High Life. Using the iconic beer’s vintage, sportsman ads as their guide, the brand created the High Life Heritage Collection. It’s classically rugged with vintage appeal. But, best of all, with these pieces, you can have your beer and drink it, too.

Some of our favorites include the buffalo plaid fisherman’s flannel, designed from a 1952 High Life ad featuring a fisherman perched in a boat, a reel in one hand and a frosty “Champagne of Beers” in the other. Durable canvas elbow patches and a contrast breast pocket upgrade the shirt with an eye towards both form and function. Riding pants have a modern jogger silhouette, but they still reflect equestrian-themed High Life ads, specifically a 1917 image depicting the High Life Girl driving a team of horses.

A deep indigo denim jacket with contrast gold thread references High Life ads of the ’60s and ’70s that were aimed at the hard-working man. The main calling card of this piece is the full-color “Girl in The Moon” embroidery on the back. And, finally, Heritage Tees feature a soft, classic worn-in look, but the real treat is the screen-printed High Life “Girl on the Crate” logo dating back to 1905 on the shirt’s front pocket. High Life’s ads with present-day comfort.

The sharing of mutual values — and a good drink, naturally — defines the connection between fellow East Coast companies, Dogfish Head Craft Brewed Ales and outdoor lifestyle brand Woolrich. The capsule collection of clothing includes a Dogfish Hunt Coat that’s simply made for cold-weather hunting. Fashioned after the top half of Woolrich’s infamous “Pennsylvania Tuxedo, the classic wool coat, embroidered with the two brand logos, likewise commemorates the small-batch Pennsylvania Tuxedo Ale brewed by Dogfish in Delaware.

The classic, slim-fitting navy coat gets a stylish update that would make even Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins himself proud; he served during WWI and later became known as the father of American old-school tattooing. Subtle yet striking details that even the rum novice may appreciate pervade this jacket, from the leather-trim detailing at the shoulders, pockets, and collar to the tonal Sailor Jerry art on the left sleeve. The coat’s red satin lining, inked in custom flash art, pays direct homage to Sailor Jerry and his tattoo artistry, too.
