Cashmere is one of the most luxurious fabrics available. It’s also one of the most comfortable, attractive, and quite frankly, one of the least itchy wools you can wear. And it goes without saying (but I’ll say it anyway), cashmere is one of the most expensive. Or is it? While you can spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on a cashmere sweater, you might not have realized that cashmere is not as costly as you believe. Here are seven cashmere sweaters under $150. Some are even under $100. While some of these sweaters are 100% cashmere and others are blends, all of them are equally soft and stylish.

1. Harrison Ivory Cashmere Knit Half-Zip Neck Sweater

Half-zip sweaters are great layering pieces that keep you warm and casual, but still polished. You can zip them all the way up or wear them partially zipped, making the neck into a collar of sorts. Made of 100% cashmere, Harrison’s Knit Half-Zip Neck Sweater is available several colors, although ivory has the most kick.

2. Uniqlo Cashmere Crewneck Sweater

Uniqlo’s Cashmere Crewneck is the wardrobe staple you’ve been looking for. Cut for a slim fit, it pairs well with a white button-down shirt underneath. Made of 100% cashmere (even at this price, it’s not a blend), this sweater is available in several colors including blue, green, and red.

3. Club Room Cashmere Solid V-Neck Sweater

Available exclusively at Macy’s, Club Room’s Cashmere Solid V-Neck Sweater is a simple, but classic knit. It is available in 23 different colors, but Camel, Harvest Gold, and Vintage Grape are perhaps the most interesting. At this price, feel free to treat yourself to one for every day of the week.

4. J.Crew Cotton-Cashmere Sweater Jacket

J.Crew’s 100% cashmere sweaters can set you back hundreds of dollars, but the blends are a bargain. Made of cashmere and cotton, this sweater jacket (swacket?) is a great addition to any wardrobe. Available in Heather Grey, Heather Sagebrush, Charcoal, and Navy, you can’t really pick a bad color. There is also an option to have it monogrammed. What could be a better holiday gift?

5. 1901 Colorblock Knit Merino Wool & Cashmere Sweater

If solid sweaters bore you, then you’re going to love 1901’s Colorblock Knit Merino Wool & Cashmere Sweater. This bi-colored sweater is available in three different color combinations including Grey Charcoal, Navy Peacoat, and Red Oxblood.

6. Kit and Ace Deen Tee

Kit and Ace is a new company founded by the same family who created ubiquitous Canadian activewear retailer, Lululemon. It invented a fabric called Technical Cashmere, which is a blend of cotton and cashmere. Technical Cashmere has all of the benefits of cashmere without any of the drawbacks. It has the warm soft feeling everyone loves about cashmere, but it’s machine-washable. Kit and Ace will have your dry cleaner missing you a lot this season.

Kit And Ace’s Deen Tee is a great casual short-sleeve shirt. With a classic ringer and bi-colored sleeves, it’s ideal for those fall and winter days that aren’t too cold. You know, those days when you just don’t know what to wear for the weather.

7. L.L. Bean Cashmere V-Neck Vest

A cashmere vest. Why not? L.L. Bean’s Cashmere V-Neck Vest looks great underneath a button-down shirt. Made of 100% Mongolian single-ply cashmere, it has a very soft and luxurious feel. It also makes you look instantly preppy and is a great choice for any holiday party. L.L. Bean has been making high-quality clothing and outdoor gear since 1912, so this sweater vest is a good investment and will last you for years.
