These Are Kim Kardashian’s Most Embarrassing Outfit Choices

Before she married Kanye — aka, her fashion confidant — Kim Kardashian West was queen of the style faux pas. And while much of this has to do with the fact that the early 2000s were full of cringe-worthy trends, it doesn’t take away from the secondhand embarrassment we all feel over it.

If you’ve forgotten what Kim K looked like in her early years as a reality TV star, you’re in luck. We share some of her most embarrassing outfit choices, ahead.

1. This belted beach cover-up

While attending an OmniPeace event to stop extreme poverty in Africa, Kim Kardashian wore what appears to be a belted beach cover-up over brown leggings. She accessorized the look with matching brown snakeskin heels, a brown handbag with a chain link strap, gold hoops, and some gaudy-looking aviators.

2. This Robin Hood-inspired outfit

At an album release party for Jay-Z’s Kingdom Come record in 2006, Kim Kardashian graced the red carpet in what we can only be describe as a Robin Hood-inspired getup. With an oversized sweater dress, loose-fitted belt, and suede boots, the reality star’s outfit was cringe-worthy, to say the least.

3. This seafoam green dress

While it could be worse, the seafoam green dress Mrs. Kardashian West wore to Carmen Electra’s Head to Hollywood Night in 2007 was not her best look. The mid-length dress — which resembles a vintage nightgown — features a revealing triangle top with silk button details.

4. This matchy-matchy outfit

In a matchy-matchy outfit — one that coordinates with her transparent Louis Vuitton handbag, no less — Kim Kardashian attended the opening of the Melrose Place Diesel Store in early 2007. Fast forward 10 years later, Kim wouldn’t be caught dead in an outfit like this.

5. This outfit that screams early 2000s

Another matchy-matchy outfit that Kim K is probably now embarrassed by? The black and white getup she wore to the William Rast Spring 2007 Street Sexy fashion show. 2007 clearly got the best of her wardrobe.

6. The dress she wore to the Absolut 100 Party for Kanye West’s Glow in The Dark Tour

After the amount of impact Kanye has had on her fashion choices, the thought of Kim Kardashian wearing this ensemble around him makes us cringe with embarrassment.

7. This outfit that she actually wore to fashion week in 2007

As a new reality star, Kim Kardashian didn’t know what she was doing in terms of her fashion choices — which is scary because she was formerly a personal stylist. Case in point: This silk blouse and cotton bodycon skirt. Let’s just say the star has learned her lesson and will never show up to fashion week dressed like that again.

8. This crochet (and beaded?) turtleneck

At the after party for the premiere of Alpha Dog with Paris Hilton and Anton Yelchin, the reality star was photographed in what can only be described as a crochet project gone wrong. We have so many questions.

9. This belted dress

There are so many things wrong with this outfit. For one, it has way too much going on. With a faux bow on the chest, a ton of draping at the stomach, and a belt to somehow try to make it all work, the dress is a major fashion faux pas. The reality star would have been better off wearing a belted trash bag.

10. This stark white number

Fashion-wise, Kim Kardashian lived it up in the early 2000s, especially when it came to matching her accessories. The reality star really made all the stops with this outfit. The stark white belt, boots, bag, and camisole show off her impeccable ability to match — but not in a good way.

11. This floral-printed dress

Another outfit we’ll never see Kim K in again? The black, white and emerald green dress she wore to the 2008 Wango Tango concert.

12. The flowy top she wore to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

In leather pants, sky-high pumps, ginormous hoop earrings, an oversized handbag, and a Moroccan-patterned silk tunic, Kim Kardashian really worked the red carpet in this number. While the pants and heels aren’t so bad, the tunic and giant earrings need to go.

13. The outfit she wore to launch the fall 2008 Bongo collection

Can you believe Kim K actually wore this outfit to launch a clothing collection? We don’t know what’s worse: Her ill-fitted jeans, the mustard-colored knit tank top, her stack of matching bangles, or her yellow and white polka-dotted wedges.

14. This vest situation

We can all admit: Vests were big in the early 2000s. That said, it doesn’t mean we can’t be embarrassed by them now. At MTV’s Total Request Live, Kim K showed up in wide-leg jeans — another popular 2000s trend — white camisole, tiny black vest, and oversized gold accessories. So tacky!

15. Whatever this outfit is

Speaking of wide-leg jeans, we’re pretty sure Kim Kardashian wore those same jeans a week later to the launch of Tori Spelling’s book, Tori’s Telling. But that’s not the embarrassing part. If you’ll take a look at her top, you’ll notice that it sort of resembles a vest, but it could also be a be a swaddle blanket tied and pinned at her waist. Either way, we hope she never repeated this look again.
