Judging by her perfectly tousled blowouts, glowing skin, and subtle — yet stunning — makeup looks, Meghan Markle knows what she’s doing in the beauty department. That said, it doesn’t cost Markle much to achieve her signature look. In fact, the royal is quite frugal when it comes to beauty products and shops for some of her staples at the drugstore (or, pharmacy, as the British call it).
Want to know the one drugstore beauty product Meghan Markle can’t live without? We share the details on page 4, plus some of her other must-haves, ahead.
1. Bioré Daily Cleansing Cloths
In an interview with Beauty Banter, Markle gushed about the one product she buys in bulk: Bioré Daily Cleansing Cloths. “They’re great to keep in the car and on your nightstand when you have those horribly lazy nights that the thought of getting up to actually wash your face seems unbearable,” she said about the drugstore beauty product.
2. Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Soap in lavender
For body wash, Markle likes to keep it natural with Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Soap in lavender. Telling Beauty Banter, “I love the smell and it lasts for such a long time.” In addition to lavender, she also likes the warm, sweet scent of Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Soap in almond and often alternates between the two aromas.
3. Beauty blending sponge
One beauty tip Markle swears by? Using a beauty blending sponge to buff out foundation. In an interview with Birchbox, Markle explained how she doesn’t like to cover up her freckles, so she is strategic about foundation and only applies it to the areas she needs it, then buffs it out across the complexion in a wash-like manner.
4. Nivea Skin Firming Hydration Body Lotion
The one drugstore beauty product Markle can’t live without? Body lotion. Nivea Skin Firming Hydration Body Lotion, to be exact. “I use this religiously,” said Markle to Beauty Banter. “It’s honestly my favorite lotion on the market, it’s so affordable, and makes my skin look and feel amazing. I would buy a case of this at a time if I could find it,” she added.
5. Kérastase Hair Masque
When it comes to beauty, Markle’s blowout is always top-notch. Her secret? Kérastase Hair Masque. While the drugstore beauty product has a steeper price point than her other recommendations, the salon-worthy product works to strengthen and repair damaged hair, and it provides protection to strands — a pre-blowout necessity.
6. Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink
One of Markle’s go-to makeup products? NARS Blush in Orgasm. “[It’s] a perfect rosy flush tone that brightens the face,” said Markle to Beauty Banter. And while NARS isn’t exactly a drugstore brand, there are plenty of affordable dupes out there that can help you get the look without breaking the bank. Case in point: Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink.
The rosy pink blush is a favorite among makeup lovers, as it’s not only a NARS dupe, but also a beautiful, universal blush color that looks great on all skin tones.
7. Revlon Extra Curl Eyelash Curler
For more wide awake-looking eyes, Markle swears by her eyelash curler. Using an eyelash curler before applying mascara can add extra volume to your lashes and create the illusion of a good night’s sleep.
8. Lip balm with SPF
Another beauty product she can’t live without? Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment with SPF 15. “I have searched high and low and tried every kind of lip balm, but this is the very best,” she told Beauty Banter. “Soft, kissable, buttery lips. I swear by it,” she added.
In addition to providing hydration, a lip balm with SPF can protect the lips from both the aging and damaging effects of the sun. That said, Markle’s go-to is hardly a drugstore beauty product. If you’re looking for an SPF-infused lip balm at a more affordable price point, try EOS Active Protection Lip Balm SPF 15 Lemon Twist Sphere.

9. Finishing spray
When we think of Markle’s beauty, we instantly think of her blowout. That said, you don’t need a royal hairdresser to get a gorgeous, voluminous blowout like Markle. In fact, all you need is a round brush, blow dryer, and finishing spray (as well as a little patience).
We love the Kristin Ess Dry Finish Working Texture Spray at Target because it not only adds the perfect amount of texture to an at-home blowout, but it also helps to smooth out damaged hair and protect strands from environmental aggressors and color fade.
10. Essie nail polish in Ballet Slippers
Now that she’s a royal, Markle will have to opt for neutral manicures when getting her nails done. One nail polish shade that is always acceptable? The queen’s favorite, Ballet Slippers from Essie. The light pink hue gives nails a fun — yet neutral — splash of color that goes with any outfit and occasion.
11. Tinted lip balm
One major beauty rule Markle must now follow? Keep it subtle — especially when it comes to makeup. And the perfect subtle alternative to lipstick is tinted lip balm. With a wide range of colors to choose from, Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm can help you achieve a soft, well-nourished pout with a hint of color, just like Markle.
12. Eyeliner pencil
Another go-to beauty product for Markle? Eyeliner. The royal likes to apply an eyeliner pencil to her eyelids on the top of her lash line, as well as her waterline.
13. A highlighting concealer
In addition to eyeliner, Markle swears by highlighting concealers to give her brighter, more awake-looking eyes. Her trick? Apply the concealer to the inner corners of the eyes to draw away from puffy under-eye bags and dark circles.
14. Anti-aging serum
To keep her skin in check — and create the perfect base for makeup — Markle applies an antioxidant-rich anti-aging serum to her complexion. And while her favorite is a bit pricey, there are plenty of excellent anti-aging serums to choose from at the drugstore.
Our favorite? No7 Youthful Vitamin C Fresh Radiance Essence. Formulated with antioxidant-rich vitamin C, the anti-aging serum works to enhance the complexion by evening out the skin tone, improving the skin’s texture, and making the skin look brighter and more illuminated than before.
15. Hair oil
If you want to achieve Markle’s beauty look, you’ll need a hair oil in your arsenal. According to her interview with Beauty Banter, Markle swears by it for making hair more “slippery and touchable.” In addition, she likes to use her hair oil to nourish her skin after a nice, relaxing bath.
For an affordable hair oil that will hydrate, strengthen, smooth, and repair strands, try Eva NYC Hungry Hair Oil Treatment. Enriched with argan oil and Keravis Protein Complex, the affordable hair oil helps prevent breakage, improves strength and flexibility, and leaves the hair looking and feeling soft, nourished, and frizz-free.
