How to Score Designer Goods on the Cheap This Season

As the crisp air creeps up on us, it is undeniable that fall is almost here. Thinking of revamping your wardrobe to welcome the new season? You’ve come to the right place. We’re rounding up the best designer collaborations to shop on a budget. From Gigi Hadid and Tommy Hilfiger to H&M’s highly anticipated Kenzo collection, here is your cheat sheet (pun intended).

1. Gigi Hadid and Tommy Hilfiger

For New York Fashion Week, Tommy Hilfiger transformed Pier 16 in New York City into an actual carnival, complete with hot dog stands, a 40-foot ferris wheel and pop-up stores to launch Tommy x Gigi, a collaboration between top-model Gigi Hadid and the brand. This season marked the beginning of a new era for the company, as it shifts its strategy to the “see now, buy now” model that brands like Club Monaco, Misha Nonoo, and Burberry have already adopted. Lucky for us, this means consumers no longer have to wait six months before they’re able to get their hands on runway looks. The nautical-inspired collection features military jackets, an anchor-print bodysuit, and slightly pricier leather pieces.

2. Alexander Wang and Adidas

After his Spring/Summer 2017 show, Alexander Wang surprised his guests with the announcement of his collaboration with Adidas. Following the big reveal, several pop-up stores appeared around New York City, where enthusiasts flocked to purchase items. Missed it? Fear not. A full 84-piece collection, including shoes, a tracksuit, and hoodies will be available sometime in the spring.  Although, judging by the success of the Alexander Wang x H&M collection, you might want to hustle when it arrives.

3. Fenty and Puma

Fenty x Puma did not have a runway show this season, but you best believe Rihanna’s athleisure collection is back. Opting for a low-key launch this season at Bergdorf Goodman, the award-winning singer joined Linda Fargo, the retailer’s long-time SVP of fashion, at a shopping event open to the public in conjunction with New York Fashion Week. We love the bondage-tops, headscarves, and kimono-tracksuit hybrids. Take a bow, Rihanna.

4. Victoria Beckham and Estée Lauder

Estee Lauder

Victoria Beckham’s beauty debut comes in the form of limited edition Estée Lauder products for the face, eyes, and lips. Divided into four unique looks for New York, Los Angeles, London, and Paris, you can choose from an array of shimmery and highly-pigmented makeup. The pop star-turned-fashion designer launched the collection with a meet-and-greet at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City on September 13.

5. J.Crew and Net-A-Porter

“Earn your stripes” is the tagline for J.Crew’s capsule collection with luxury e-commerce site, Net-A-Porter. Created under the direction of Jenna Lyons, known for her cool and eclectic style, the collection offers knitted turtleneck sweaters, faux-fur coats, and buttery soft scarves to help you keep warm. Fall in love with fall all over again with these everyday staples.

6. Topshop and Beyonce

Ivy Park, a collaboration between Beyoncé and Topshop, was launched back in April but continues to be available at Topshop and online at Net-A-Porter. In addition to its signature leggings, which are available in various fits and lengths, Queen Bey’s athleisure collection also includes sports bras, tank tops and workout shorts. Beyoncé came to slay and slay she did.

7. Kenzo and H&M

Kenzo Collection

H&M’s previous collection with Balmain crashed its website soon after its 8 a.m. launch and almost the entire collection was sold out within an hour. This year, the brand has partnered with Kenzo to bring you its signature vibrant hues and bold prints.  Available starting November 7, Kenzo x H&M‘s star-studded campaign features Iman, Chloe Sevigny, and Chance the Rapper.
