Whether you’re a fan of Serena Williams or not, one thing’s for certain: The Olympian has gold metal-worthy style. While pregnant, the tennis superstar rocked dresses, casual overalls, sporty athleisure, and a variety of other outfits you can wear with or without a bump — proving pregnancy style doesn’t have to be all about stretchy pants and extra large T-shirts.
That being said, Williams isn’t giving up on her style in her new, post-baby life. Actually, it’s quite the opposite. Williams recently took to her Snapchat account just two weeks after having her baby to share a stunning glimpse into her post-pregnancy style. We’ve got the details — plus, some of our favorite maternity looks — ahead.
1. These denim shorts she wore two weeks after giving birth to her daughter
Just two weeks after giving birth to her daughter, Alexis Olympia, Williams took to Snapchat to post a photo of herself in a pair of denim shorts and a white mesh top. And let’s just say, she looks absolutely incredible. As an athlete, Williams may have been able to bounce back quicker than the average postpartum woman. And while two weeks is a short amount of time to be back in pre-pregnancy clothes, there’s no denying the positivity and confidence this image and outfit exudes.
2. This figure-flattering babydoll dress
In honor of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October, I’ve designed a custom, Italian leather purse to support my friends at @allstatefdn during their annual fundraising competition, the Purple Purse Challenge. Every $10 you donate to the Challenge earns you a chance to win one! A winner will be picked each week this month. All donations benefit the 2017 Purple Purse nonprofits and help provide critical resources to domestic violence survivors nationwide. The more you donate, the more you help survivors – and the more chances you have to win! So, get involved and donate today. Link in bio. #ad #domesticviolence #PurplePurse #DVAM
In honor of National Domestic Violence Month, Serena Williams recently took to her Instagram to share a partnership with the Allstate Foundation. She wowed in a figure-flattering babydoll dress and funky heeled ankle booties. We love the dress’ soft pink material and sporty detailing on the neck and chest.
3. These ultra short booty shorts
As we can tell from her first stunning post-baby outfit post, Serena Williams is not afraid to rock booty shorts in her post-baby life. Case in point? The Olympian looks incredible in this mirror selfie posted to her Instagram account. Wearing a black graphic tee and ultra short booty shorts, Williams shows off her killer post-baby body.
4. This sporty-chic bomber jacket and leggings
While we love Williams’ post-baby body confidence — and can’t get over how great she looks — her pregnancy style was also top notch. Here are some of our favorite maternity looks from the new mom.
A week and a half before giving birth to her daughter, Serena Williams posted this photo of her on her Instagram. To state the obvious, Williams looks like a sporty-chic goddess here. In a pair of black leggings, fresh white sneakers, a geometric print bomber jacket, and sports bra that showed off her beautiful bump, the professional tennis superstar looked undeniably beautiful and strong.
5. This high-neck ribbed dress
One thing we noticed about Serena William’s pregnancy style was that she wasn’t afraid to show off her baby bump and curves. In fact, the athlete stepped out in tight clothing more often than not, proving that she was feeling confident in her new body. Case in point? This ribbed gray dress she posed in for her Instagram. The high-neckline and ribbed texture are ultra flattering before, during, and after pregnancy.
6. This printed windbreaker
While cheering for her sister, Venus Williams, during the 2017 French Open, Serena was spotted in a pair of jeans and floral printed windbreaker. With a changing body, some may be afraid to wear patterns, but Williams proves just how flattering and fun a pattern really is. What’s more? Because of its oversized style, this jacket is something she can wear post-pregnancy, too.
7. This black T-shirt dress
If we were to point out one trend in Serena William’s pregnancy style, it would definitely be her tight-fitting dresses. Case in point? This black T-shirt dress she wore while visiting her friends at Survey Monkey. Paired with a chic pair of Chanel sneakers, this is a look anyone can pull off — with or without a bump.
8. This navy cocktail dress
In another T-shirt dress — albeit, a little more dressed up this time — Williams showed off her gorgeous body and growing bump. We love this particular style for the draped detail on the chest, as it flatters her belly and shows off her awesome figure.
9. This floral kimono and nude-colored bodycon dress
Another pregnancy look we love? This nude-colored bodycon dress with a floral kimono. The mix of a tight-fitted dress and a flowing kimono belted above her belly is super flattering and stylish. And it’s another look you can copy with or without a baby bump!
10. This navy blue lace dress and snakeskin belt
It’s no secret that Williams was a fan of drawing attention to her bump early on in her pregnancy. We particularly love the way she belted her dress to accentuate her small but growing baby bump back in May.
11. This black one-piece swimsuit
We don’t know about you, but our jaws dropped when we saw this stunning photo of Williams posing in a one-piece swimsuit. We love the ruffle detail on the chest and belly and how the swimsuit flatters her in all the right places.
Outfit choices aside, we love that Williams has used pregnancy — and, now, postpartum — to bring attention to the strength and beauty that comes with bringing a baby into the world.
