Probiotic Chocolate Bars
Good Culture Cottage Cheese
Just launched, Good Culture uses organic ingredients to make on-the-go cups of cottage cheese. Each pack is not only loaded in probiotics, but with 16-18 grams of protein. Everything is family farm sourced from grass fed cows, low in sugar, made with 2% milk fat (the good fat), and the brand is non-GMO and free of artificial stabilizers, preservatives, carrageenan, and additives. The brand’s flavors also come in both sweet and savory options (that’s right, there is now Sundried Tomato and Kalamata Olive flavored cottage cheese…).
Organic Chia + Probiotics
Organic Chia + Probiotics is the first product to combine a prebiotic superfood with a probiotic by blending chia with a probiotic to support digestive health, promote bone health, and provide organisms with protein, omega-3 antioxidants, minerals, and calcium. It’s also certified organic, vegan-friendly, dairy-free, gluten-free and GMO-free. Chia seeds are among the highest plant-based sources of fiber, and their purpose, the brand says, is to feed the probiotic so that it lasts longer and more effectively in our system.
Probiotic Mango Lassi
Turns out you can actually drink your gut healthy thanks to Moon Juice. Among other healthy concoctions they’ve come out with a Probiotic Mango Lassi smoothie which blends mango, active coconut yogurt (coconut yogurt is often singled out for its ability to work both enzymes and probiotics into your diet without the use of dairy as many find dairy to be acid forming), lime, alkaline, mineralized and oxygenated water, and coconut nectar.
Jerusalem artichokes are high in a prebiotic called inulin. Inulin is also a fiber, another reason Jerusalem artichokes are so great for digestion and have the ability to keep you full for longer periods of time. This sunflower species is also loaded with iron and potassium. You can eat it on its own, in a salad, or even use it as a base for healthy chips.
The Remedy is a drink made with ginger, lemon, spearmint sea salt, cayenne powder, honey, and turmeric, a powerful prebiotic. Tumeric is a natural anti-inflammatory that helps to support a healthy gut.
Sauerkraut, a fermented cabbage, is one of the most well known fermented foods — and for good reason; each serving is loaded with billions of probiotics. Try making your own as most of the ones you buy in stores are loaded with added sugars and preservatives.
Enjoy Life Foods Baking Mixes
Available in Brownie, Muffin, Pancake+Waffle, Pizza Crust and an All-Purpose Flour, these gluten-free mixes are enhanced with shelf-stable probiotics that can withstand the baking process, in addition to ancient Teff grains and algal protein, they’re also free from GMOs and the top eight food allergens.
GoodBelly is a line of probiotic drinks and shots formulated to help support daily digestive health. All GoodBelly drinks are loaded up with billions of live and active probiotic cultures of the well-researched probiotic strain, Lactobacillus plantarum 299v (LP299V). Unlike many other strains, LP299V survives passage beyond the stomach’s acidic environment in order to support the rest of the digestive system. The drinks are also non-GMO, dairy-free, soy-free, and vegan.
