Barron Trump Will Never Get to Be a Normal Kid If He Keeps Having to Do These Things Every Day
The youngest of Donald Trump’s children — but no longer the youngest in the family — Barron Trump has lived a life unlike what most of us ever will, and he’s only 12. By the time he was born, his dad was already famous. As if that weren’t enough to make him stand out from his peers, he’s now a first son — the first boy living in the White House since 1963.
Will this suit-wearing, golf-loving Trump’s life ever be anything close to normal? Not if the following things remain a constant in the years to come.
Wearing suits — by choice
Most moms might have to go as far as bribing their stubborn sons to get them into a suit and tie, but the first lady says Barron actually prefers suits to sweats. Maybe he’s just trying to dress like his dad and prepare for his (probable) future career as a suit-wearing businessman.
Next: Your family probably hasn’t attended a Christmas party like this one.
Attending special holiday events
For Barron, Thanksgiving, Easter, and Christmas are much more than private family affairs. Each year, the White House hosts events, including the Turkey Pardon and Easter Egg Roll, which Barron is expected to attend with his parents.
Next: This is probably every kid’s dream. It’s real life for Barron.
Eating meals a personal chef prepared
The White House cooking staff is not only responsible for catering presidential functions, but also cooking for the first family on a daily basis. That means for a good portion of his childhood and early adolescence, Barron won’t have to do any cooking for himself — unless he wants to.
Next: For most kids, this would be unsettling. For Barron, it’s pretty normal.
Having Secret Service agents follow him
Barron is probably used to this by now. He had security even before making the move from New York to Washington, D.C., thanks to his dad’s fame. Even if he doesn’t mind it, it’s still one more thing he doesn’t have in common with most kids his age.
Next: Imagine being able to do this whenever you wanted, without leaving your house.
Watching all the movies
The White House Family Theater allows the first family to catch Hollywood’s latest — and oldest — films without having to leave their home. Finding Dory was apparently the first movie Donald Trump screened as president — maybe so he and Barron could watch together.
Next: He even gets to wear his own shoes!
Bowling at home for free
Barron might prefer golf to bowling. But no kid would pass up the opportunity to head to their basement and bowl a few games with their family.
Next: Most kids don’t get to travel like this.
Flying to luxury vacations on a private plane
This is nothing new for Trump’s youngest child. His family already owned multiple private jets (plus a few helicopters) and vacationed frequently before moving into the White House. On the other hand, most kids — not even many former first children — don’t even get to sit in first class when they go on family vacations.
