Bella Hadid Reveals What She Eats Every Day (Plus, the 1 Habit That Keeps Her Sane)

Model Bella Hadid is constantly showing off her super toned body. You may have wondered what her diet must be like to stay so in-shape — and the answer may shock you.

Hadid opened up to Harper’s Bazaar about everything she eats throughout the day. Here’s what the model’s routine looks like day-to-day, including where she really lets herself indulge (page 6) and the one habit that keeps her sane (page 7).

1. She has to eat all the time

You may not expect it, but Hadid claims she “[eats] all the time.” However, she claims she actually has to due to having “really low blood sugar.”

2. She doesn’t skimp on breakfast

Hadid clearly knows how to get her day off to a good start. She told Harper’s Bazaar, “If I have the morning off, I’ll either make eggs and sausage, and eat breakfast at home, or go to the bagel store below my apartment. It’s so good they have so many different kinds of bagels. My go-to is an egg sandwich on a plain bagel.”

She also noted, “One time I really wanted to be healthy and got a gluten-free bagel, but I promise you, they suck.”

3. Protein is important to her

For Hadid, lunch is usually all about keeping her going throughout the day. “For lunch, I’ll usually have salmon or chicken and veggies. If not, then pasta,” she said.

“I like having a good protein meal because I get really tired if I eat too much, so I try and fill myself up on things that will make me feel good.”

4. She gives herself a boost of energy

Hadid has lots of different methods to give her a much-needed energy boost to get through photoshoot after photoshoot. “I order a lot of green juices and keep them around on set,” she said.

“I have ginger shots in a cooler, and I’ll drink one if I’m feeling low.” She even admitted, “I am also a big coffee drinker, I’ll have three espressos before noon.”

5. She loves ordering in some dinner

We definitely don’t blame Hadid for giving in to the convenience of getting food delivered for dinner. “I used to make dinner for myself all the time, but now when I leave work I order food, and it’s there by the time I get home,” she admitted.

“Westville is the restaurant I always order from. The sautéed kale is my favorite.” Yum.

6. She lets herself indulge

Hadid sets a great example for her fans, proving it’s OK to indulge in your favorite foods from time to time. She posts about eating pizza pretty regularly on Instagram (which always seems to make us crave a slice).

She also once claimed to Snapchat that she has a grilled cheese sandwich every single day.

7. She has a routine to help keep her sane

Hadid clearly relies on food to keep her energized throughout her consistently busy schedule. She’s also adopted a few habits that keep her centered in her daily routine. “Before bed I love listening to meditation music. It helps me zone out and fall asleep,” she explained.

The model added, “And in the morning I make it a point to keep my phone away from me for 30 minutes so my brain can start functioning before I get completely overwhelmed by the media. Sometimes I just want to be me for 30 minutes, not ‘Bella.’”
