There’s no denying that Prince William and Kate Middleton have an adorable family. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, have been delighting royal watchers with their photogenic moments for a few years. Now, with the addition of newborn Prince Louis, there are surely more amazing photo ops on the horizon for the royal family.

It wasn’t all that long ago that Princess Charlotte was the new royal baby the world was fawning over. The first official photos of her emerged roughly a month after she was born. And they featured a particularly sweet picture of Prince George kissing his newborn sister on the forehead.

Some of the most popular shots of the Cambridges come from the annual Trooping the Colour parade. While many shots of the family standing on the Buckingham Palace balcony are beloved, shots from the 2016 event of the royal family smiling in unison remain the heavy favorites. Even Queen Elizabeth couldn’t suppress a smile as she stood next to her adorable great-grandchildren.

Often when Kensington Palace shares cute photos of Prince George and Princess Charlotte, Duchess Catherine has taken the photos. This was the case for when each child started nursery school. Royal watchers were particularly taken with looking at the children’s photos side by side. (And they loved pouring over how much Charlotte looks like her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth).

When the monarch turned a whopping 90 years old, she was the subject of Annie Leibovitz’s portraits to commemorate the occasion. She posed for photos with everyone from Prince Philip to her daughter, Anne, to her beloved corgis. Perhaps the sweetest of the pictures is one featuring the queen with her two youngest grandchildren and five great-grandchildren — including a 2-year-old Prince George and 1-year-old Princess Charlotte.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge know how to take a good family portrait. Their Christmas card photo, which featured the whole family dressed in blue, is simply heartwarming. The color choice did however create rumors that the next royal baby would be a boy.

Going to see Prince Louis

Prince George and Princess Charlotte delighted the crowd outside St. Mary’s Hospital when they went to visit their new baby brother for the first time. Charlotte was particularly darling as she waved to the media, even as her father was walking her up the steps into the hospital. Cameras also captured Prince George putting his arm around his little sister as they entered the hospital.

After a brief glimpse of Prince Louis outside St. Mary’s, it was a mystery as to when the world would get another look at the newest royal. Then, Kensington Palace answered the call by posting his first official photos. The pictures include a portrait of Prince Louis, taken by the Duchess of Cambridge herself.

In addition to Prince Louis’ first official portrait is a darling picture of Princess Charlotte cradling the infant and kissing him on the forehead. It’s a sweet ode to the picture Charlotte took with her big brother, George, nearly three years before.
