Does Mila Kunis Have a ‘Gaming Disorder’? Plus 9 Other Celebrities Who Love Video Games

Since the World Health Organization declared gaming addiction a mental disorder, it’s hard not to question whether or not the people in your life — and even well-known celebrities like Mila Kunis — could be obsessed to the point of harm.

There are a lot of professional gamers out there who spend their days playing for a paycheck. But there are also plenty of celebrities who love gaming outside of their day jobs as actors, musicians, and athletes. Here are a few familiar faces you might not know love to play video games.

1. Ashton Kutcher

  • He was so good at GoldenEye that he was almost “too” good.

In his early 20s, Kutcher apparently played more video games than anyone he knew. He started a production company because he was tired of sitting around playing Nintendo 64 all day.

Though Kutcher might not play nearly as much GoldenEye as he used to, he uses his income to give back to the gaming industry. In 2015, he invested in an e-sports startup company.

Even musicians need a break from performing to do something mind-numbing. Apparently, Call of Duty is Bieber’s go-to game of choice.

He’s not exclusive to just one series, though. He also plays Halo and Mario Kart.

He’s also one of many athletes to have a video game based on him. Michael Phelps: Push the Limit was released for the Xbox gaming system.

Whether or not Kunis lived with a gaming disorder depends on your personal definition of “addiction.” She used to play World of Warcraft, a multiplayer online game that keeps players glued to their seats by encouraging them to continuously level up.

If Kunis was addicted, she’s since gotten everything under control. She’s reportedly put her Warcraft character to bed in favor of Call of Duty, a less time-consuming option.
