Every Adorable Way Chip and Joanna Gaines Show Their Support for Each Other on Instagram

It’s easy to see that Chip and Joanna Gaines are incredibly supportive of each other. Why? Like many modern couples, the former Fixer Upper stars pump each other up on their respective social media accounts. And we aren’t just talking about Joanna’s multiple posts ahead of Chip’s first marathon either! (We’ll get to that starting on page 6.) Here’s a look at how this celebrity couple supports each other on Instagram.

In the crowd

When Joanna went on the Today show to promote her new cookbook, Chip was right there to cheer her on. But he didn’t stand off to the side of the soundstage as you may expect. Instead, he joined the crowd on the street and wrote his own Today show sign. Chip captured the moment by posting a video on Instagram of himself getting very excited along with the rest of the show’s fans.

Of course, Chip’s support of his wife’s book isn’t a first for this couple. When his book Capital Gaines came out in 2017, Joanna was right by his side. She took to Instagram on the day the book was released and wrote a long, heartfelt message of support for Chip and what his book has to offer.

As a healthy relationship move, the Gaines duo doesn’t just give each other a boost when one of them has a career accomplishment. They’re also big on spreading a little birthday love. Like in 2017 when Chip posted a photo of a smiling Joanna, complete with a sweet caption where he calls her “the best at everything you do.”

Nevermind big work events. Chip and Joanna Gaines have no problem being a little cheesy and posting about each other just for the heck of it. Case in point: This adorable picture posted to Joanna’s Instagram in October 2017 with her husband, with a simple but sweet caption reading “I like this guy.” We can tell, Joanna. We really can.

Promoting their show

Perhaps one of the reasons Fixer Upper was such a success was because Chip and Joanna worked hard to promote each other and not just their reality show. This is certainly apparent in one of Chip’s posts in which he looks while Joanna is part of a photo shoot. His caption: “I love watching @joannagaines do her thing. She really is the very best part about #fixerUpper. ”

The Cheat Sheet has discussed in the past that supporting your partner’s fitness goals can produce positive results. So it was a delight to see Joanna’s super supportive Instagram post when Chip was training for the first annual Silo District Marathon. The long caption under the posted picture gives us an inside look at how hard Chip worked, and how proud she is of him.

When Joanna said she would be the first person to greet Chip at the finish line of the Silo District Marathon, she wasn’t kidding around. She captured his finish — and much more — on her Instagram the day of the race. Needless to say, these two appear to have the supportive spouse thing down to a science. (Or, at least they’re really good at doing it on social media.)
