Everything We Know About Stormy Daniels Outside of the Trump Scandal (Including Her History in Politics)
For the vast majority of Americans, Stormy Daniels only recently became a household name. But long before she became known as Donald Trump’s mistress from the past, she was starring in adult films, making appearances in mainstream movies, and even dabbling in politics.
There’s a lot more to Ms. Daniels (real name Stephanie Clifford) than meets the eye.
She’s a Louisiana girl
Daniels was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It was there that she began stripping as a teenager, and she joined the adult film industry soon after.
Next: The third time’s the charm for her marriages, it seems.
She’s been married three times
Three men have tied the knot with Daniels. She’s currently happily married to Glendon Crain, whom she met in 2010. But before that, she was married to Pat Myne from 2003 – 2005 and to Mike Moz (real named Michael Mosny) from 2007 – 2009.
The alleged Trump affair happened in between husbands one and two, and her second husband, Moz, has repeatedly backed up her statements.
Next: Daniels is more than just an adult film actress.
Her resume includes much more than porn
Of course, Daniels is currently best known for being an adult film star. But she’s also a writer, director, and producer of adult films. She’s had a few minor roles in mainstream movies as well, including “Knocked Up” and “The 40-Year-Old-Virgin.” She even had an appearance in a 2007 Maroon 5 music video, “Wake Up Call.”
Next: There is a mini Stormy.
She’s a mother
Daniels and her husband, Glendon Crain (real name Brendon Miller) have a young daughter together. Daniels has said neither she or Crain thought they’d ever have children until they started dating, but it soon became clear that she’d met the right guy. She praised her husband’s parenting and said the three of them go to Gymboree classes together.
Next: Senator Stormy?
She almost ran for office
In 2009, a “Draft Stormy” campaign was launched by some political science students who wanted Daniels to run against David Vitter, a Louisiana senator who was trying to rehabilitate his image after getting caught up in 2007′ D.C. Madam scandal. They felt that Daniels’ mere presence in the race would draw attention to Vitter’s affairs.
Daniels actually considered running, calling Vitter a hypocrite and claiming her slogan would be “Screwing People Honestly.” She declared herself a Republican in 2010, but she never ended up running for office. She felt she was never taken seriously by “the media or politically elite.”

She was once charged with domestic violence
In 2009, Daniels had a run-in with the law after a scuffle with her ex-husband, Mike Moz, got physical. She threw a potted plant at him (which hit him) and destroyed their wedding album and some other property. The marriage ended soon after.
Next: Daniels definitely isn’t close with everyone in her family.
She’s estranged from both of her parents
Daniels’ parents split when she was just four years old, and she doesn’t speak to either of them. Perhaps ironically, both of her parents are big Trump supporters, especially her mother, who claims that if Trump runs four more times, she’ll vote for him every time. Her father said he likes both Trump and his daughter and doesn’t want to “take sides.”
