The Former Fox News Anchor Donald Trump Allegedly Tried to Kiss While Married to Melania
It seems that scandals just keep finding Donald Trump. He’s been connected to several scandals, including allegations of sexual misconduct and an affair with an adult film star. Now a former Fox News anchor has some things to add to the scandal pot.
Here’s what we know about the former Fox News anchor Donald Trump allegedly tried to kiss while married to Melania.
Trump said he kisses women all the time
Donald Trump has admitted to kissing women without consent. During an Access Hollywood taping, Trump was recorded saying he doesn’t ask women, he just kisses them. Here’s what Donald Trump told former Access Hollywood host Billy Bush, according to an NBC transcript: “I’m automatically attracted to beautiful women — I just start kissing them, it’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.”

Former Fox News anchor Juliet Huddy claims Donald Trump tried to kiss her in an elevator around the time he first married Melania Trump, reports Page Six. She said Trump took her to lunch at Trump Tower and afterward he leaned over and tried to kiss her. Huddy says she refused Trump’s advances. She also said she wasn’t offended, but that she was shocked by his behavior. Said Huddy during the “Mornin!!! With Bill Schulz” podcast, “He went to say goodbye and he, rather than kiss me on the cheek, he leaned in on the lips.”

This is not the first time
You probably won’t be surprised to learn this isn’t the first woman to claim Donald Trump either kissed her without consent or tried to go in for a kiss. He seems to think every woman he meets is dying to have physical contact with him.
Another woman who had a similar experience is Rachel Crooks. She said in 2005, when she was working as a 22-year-old receptionist for a company located within Trump Tower, she bumped into Trump outside an elevator, so she decided to introduce herself. Crooks claims Trump shook her hand, but instead of letting go, he began kissing her, reports The New York Times.

In a shocking move, Trump didn’t try to deny the encounter. Unlike some of the other women he allegedly had inappropriate contact with, he actually admits to meeting her. A few years later, when asked about the incident during a Fox News show, Trump simply told the audience, “I hit on her, but she blew me off.” Huddy told The New York Post he was laughing when he made the comment.

Huddy’s allegations against other men
Huddy also claims another man was sexually inappropriate with her. She said former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly sexually harassed her. In an essay for Today’s 2017 Voices series, she spoke about how tough it was to speak out. Huddy says the harassment began during a lunch at O’Reilly’s home. However, Huddy told Today she couldn’t go into details because she was asked to sign a nondisclosure agreement. As a result of Huddy’s sexual harassment complaint, she was awarded a “high six-figure” settlement, reports TVNewser.

Is there bad blood?
After 18 years at Fox News, Huddy decided to leave in September 2016. Her father, John Huddy, was a close friend of Roger Ailes, who ran both Fox News and the Fox TV stations before he left Fox in July 2016 (Ailes later died in May 2017). Juliet Huddy’s brother, also named John, worked for Fox News until he was fired in October 2017, says The Hollywood Reporter. According to Fox, he was fired because of a physical altercation with a photographer, but John Jr. says the altercation never happened. John told The Hollywood Reporter he believes he was fired because his sister spoke out against Bill O’Reilly.
Next: Huddy has regrets.
She lives in fear
Huddy says she is afraid of the impact her sexual harassment allegations will have on her career. She also expressed regret about signing a nondisclosure agreement. “I signed my nondisclosure agreement because I was terrified my entire world would be turned upside down by The Machine: media moguls, powerful executives, militant public relations mavens, expensive attorneys, all of whom had one mission: Keep Fox protected at all costs,” she told Megyn Kelly.
