Occasionally, TV news anchors reveal a little more than they intended. Wardrobe malfunctions that occur on camera have caused many an embarrassing moment. What makes them even more horrifying is when they happen on live TV when there’s no turning back.
Many such mishaps that viewers just can’t unsee have even happened on major news networks. Here, we’ll take a look at awkward wardrobe malfunctions suffered both by hosts and celebrity guests on Fox News, all during live TV. And, we have the worst wardrobe failures in history we’ve ever seen from celebrities, too.
1. Alina Moine revealed her underwear
- When: Coverage of the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics
Argentine news reporter Alina Moine suffered an embarrassing moment during coverage of the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. During a conversation with co-host Maxi Palma, Moine lifted her arm, and up with it came the hem of her little black dress, revealing her underwear.
Moine quickly put her arm down and smoothed out her dress. It was over in a flash, and she handled it like a pro — yet it’s been viewed more than 3 million times on YouTube.

2. Kimberly Guilfoyle’s dress was too short

In 2014, Fox News anchor Kimberly Guilfoyle suffered a wardrobe malfunction while throwing a football in a short red dress. Guilfoyle is known for her revealing outfits every day on the show. The network has been rumored to require women to wear dresses.
Possibly this rule is what Guilfoyle referred to in 2016 when she saw a photo of Fox’s Iowa set where an upcoming show would take place. “Oh my God, well it looks like I’ll be able to wear pants, because I’m not seeing a suitable shot for me there,” she said.

3. Liz Claman’s plunging neckline

Fox Business anchor Liz Claman is known for dressing a bit on the risqué side, with plunging necklines and tight-fitting clothing. She has openly joked about Fox getting into trouble by showing certain close-up footage of her. Maybe it was just the camera angle, but a clip went viral of a live newscast in 2012 when Claman wore a wraparound dress and was punching buttons on a screen.

4. Karyn Bryant was caught in an awkward moment

A highly publicized press conference for the 2017 Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor fight suffered an awkward hiccup. While the two great showmen were talking trash, the screen suddenly flashed to the Fox Sports desk with host Karyn Bryant taking off a robe covering the blue dress she was wearing during the broadcast. Co-anchor Kenny Florian was adjusting his outfit as well, straightening out his collar.
The moment was short-lived, but the internet loved it. Bryant had a sense of humor about the mishap and even tweeted, “These studios are freezing!!”

5. Khloe Kardashian’s top was too sheer
- When: Fox & Friends in 2011
In 2011, Khloe Kardashian accidentally bared too much while promoting her family’s show Keeping Up with the Kardashians. During the interview on Fox & Friends, she wore a semi-sheer black blouse which revealed more than she bargained for when she moved around.
Fans took to Twitter to let Kardashian know. “Your nipple was showing on Fox and Friends. See through tops FTW,” one tweeted. The reality TV star chimed in to say she was fine with what happened. “I had a nip slip and I loved it,” she wrote.

6. Angie Harmon’s blouse popped open
- When: Fox & Friends in 2012
This mishap was short-lived, but awkward nonetheless. In 2012, actress Angie Harmon joined Fox & Friends to talk about her TV show Rizzoli & Isles. Early into the interview, a button to her blouse popped open as she was explaining a scene on her show.
Harmon immediately noticed and buttoned back up, telling host Jim Doocy, “Hang on. My blouse just came undone.” Doocy replied, “Why, hello.” From there, the two just laughed it off and continued the interview.

7. Liberté Chan’s green screen fail
- When: Los Angeles news in 2016
Los Angeles meteorologist Liberté Chan suffered a green screen fashion fail in 2016 when the weather map changed the color of her dress and projected the temperatures on it. “Oh, I’m going to have to change,” she said. “Look at this. That’s a bummer. I thought it was light enough.” Anchor Chris Burrous saved the day by putting his dark jacket on Chan.

8. Kourtney Kardashian lost a strap
- When: 2018 dinner in Los Angeles with half-sister Kendall Jenner
Sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner met for dinner at celebrity hotspot Craig’s in Los Angeles. Kardashian dressed in a classic LBD with a sheer neckline and sleeves.
One side of Kardashian’s dress fell apart as the two exited the restaurant to reveal black, heart-shaped nipple covers. Kardashian handled the mishap calmly as she walked hand-in-hand with Jenner.

9. Lindsey Vonn’s Marilyn Monroe moment gone wrong
- When: 2016 Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Blue Diamond Gala
Lindsay Vonn posed in a blue, floor-length dress at the charity gala. The gown had a thigh-high slit that proved hazardous when the windy day took control, revealing Vonn’s underwear. Hey, at least they matched her nude sandals.

10. Jennifer Lawrence falls (a lot)

JLaw is the queen of the red carpet falls: She’s had over four of them to date. Lawrence first took a tumble accepting the award for best actress at the 2013 Oscars. She made it a bit of an annual tradition by falling again at the 2014 Oscars and then at the 2015 premiere of the second installment of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay in Madrid.
She nearly lost more than just her balance at the Berlin premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, however. Bending down to adjust the bottom of her Dior gown, Lawrence nearly dropped her top. She grabbed it last minute to avoid any slippage, though.

12. Katherine Heigl’s dress snapped — luckily she didn’t

Katherine Heigl accepted the award for Female Star of the Year alongside presenter Billy Bush. Mid-speech, one of the straps on her dress came loose and nearly exposed her. Rightfully shocked, Heigl struggled through the rest of her acceptance speech while Bush helped keep her dress up.

Cara Delvigne had two wardrobe malfunctions in the middle of two months. Delvigne, who played a mermaid in Pan, greeted fans over a barrier at the Oden theater in London.
She was photographed in a black fringe mini dress and black stilettos. Mid-greeting, her dress rose up to expose her bare backside.

14. Lenny Kravitz ripped his pants

Lenny Kravitz may be a style icon, but this wardrobe malfunction was no fashion statement. Kravitz was performing “Fly Away” for fans during his Strut tour when his pants split — right in the crotch. “Do I have any underwear on now? No,” Kravitz told the publication Mr Porter in an interview about the incident, “Thus the problems that I incur.”
The rocker kept his cool: He changed into a new pair of pants backstage and continued the concert.

15. Gigi Hadid’s nip slip

Gigi Hadid closed the Versace show during Milan Fashion Week. Her loosely draped black dress slipped to the side to reveal her left nipple in what Cosmo called “a full-on breast’s bid for freedom.”
Hadid handled the incident like the pro she is and walked half the runway ignoring the malfunction. She tweeted after the show that wardrobe malfunctions “happen on the runway every day of fw & are…unfortunate, lol,” before redirecting the conversation back to Versace’s new chokers.

16. Elizabeth Olsen fell victim to a gust of wind

Olsen arrived at Miu Miu’s launch of their first fragrance and 2016 collection. Cameras unintentionally caught photos of Olsen’s underwear when a gust of wind swept her dress up. As a result, photographers managed to caption Olsen’s hilarious look of surprise as she used her purse to hold her dress down.

Simpson wore a frilly dress during her GMA performance in Times Square. She, like Olsen, became subject to untimely weather. The wind blew her dress up and Simpson unintentionally mooned the audience. She recovered after a short pause and held her dress down throughout the remainder of the show.

18. Paris Hilton’s high-cut dress became highly controversial

It’s no secret Paris Hilton loves to be the center of attention. However, her numerous wardrobe malfunctions probably weren’t what she had in mind. Hilton posed for the cameras on her 32nd birthday in a hot pink Livné dress with high side slits. She managed to keep her sides barely covered but the media speculated she just forgot to wear anything underneath.

19. Nicki Minaj has some serious dress issues

The rapper is no stranger to clothing mishaps: She’s handled wardrobe malfunctions so smoothly the public didn’t even notice.
They all haven’t been discreet, however. Minaj uploaded a picture to her Instagram account with Derek Jeter featuring a nip-slip. It wasn’t’ the first time a mishap went public — her low-cut black dress popped open while she performed at the VMAs in 2014. Minaj told backstage reporters that she “ran out of time getting the dress zipped up.”

20. Eva Longoria’s jacket popped open
- When: During an interview on the Late Show with David Letterman
Longoria wore what Letterman dubbed “only part of a tuxedo” on The Late Show and even the part she wore didn’t stay intact. She wore a jacket with nothing underneath, which would have been an incredible style statement — had it stayed on. The buttons began to pop open while Longoria presented her new cookbook to Letterman.
Letterman attempted to keep his focus on Longoria’s guacamole recipe despite his “predisposition” to find the dip soapy tasting.

21. Queen of the slip: Mariah Carey
- When: On the beach in Hawaii, on a date, during a performance, etc.
Mariah Carey has had plenty of wardrobe malfunctions over the course of her career — enough that OK! Magazine kept a list of her six craziest — but most of them have happened since she started dating dancer Bryan Tanaka. Her bathing suit slipped on the beach in Hawaii, again on a date night dinner, and while performing “All I Want for Christmas Is You” at the Beacon Theater.

22. Justin Timberlake exposes Janet Jackson
- When: Superbowl XXXVIII Halftime Show
This incident tops the list, and with good reason. “Nipplegate,” as it is informally known, resurged in the media prior to Justin Timberlake’s return to the Super Bowl arena for 2018.
Jackson joined Timberlake onstage in 2004. As the halftime show culminated, Timberlake pulled off part of Jackson’s outfit, briefly exposing her right breast on TV for over 140 million viewers to see. Jackson’s representatives declined to comment to USA Today, while Timberlake has said little more than “sorry” since the event.
