After they were spotted by the crowd outside the hospital — and Princess Charlotte made sure to wave at everyone — Prince William took his five-year-old and three-year-old in to meet Prince Louis. They were reportedly very excited about the new baby after spending almost half an hour with him and their parents.

Duchess Catherine went home less than seven hours after giving birth to reportedly to keep the media chaos away from Prince George and Princess Charlotte. This also allowed the youngsters to spend more time with Prince Louis. Good To Know speculates that George and Charlotte stayed up past their bedtimes to see the new baby when he got home to Kensington Palace.

Following reports that she’s “the matriarch” of the Cambridge household, it will be interesting to see how their sibling relationship develops.
