On their royal wedding day, Meghan and Harry made sure Diana was with them. One way they honored the late princess? With Meghan’s bridal bouquet. Rumor has it, Harry hand-picked forget-me-nots — Diana’s favorite flower — from the family’s garden.

Kate’s postpartum outfits

It’s no secret that Kate loves to pay tribute to Diana through fashion. And one way she has honored the late princess is through her clothing is with her postpartum outfits. Following the birth of Prince George, Kate stepped out in a blue and white polka dot dress — similar to the ensemble Diana wore to introduce William to the public. The duchess honored Diana a second time with a red ensemble — similar to the dress Diana wore after Harry’s birth — following the arrival of Prince Louis.

Kate’s favorite tiara

Kate and Diana have a lot in common, including their favorite tiara. The Cambridge Lover’s Knot tiara was loaned to the late princess by Queen Elizabeth II. And although she preferred the comfort of her beloved Spencer Tiara, Diana took a liking to the pearl and diamond headpiece.

With its intricate detail and sentimental value, Kate has taken a liking to the pearl and diamond tiara and has worn it several times.

Meghan’s wedding gift from Harry

Following their chapel nuptials, Harry gifted Meghan something blue — and sentimental. The aquamarine cocktail ring Meghan wore to the couple’s wedding reception was a trendy piece from Princess Diana’s collection and a unique way to include Harry’s mother in their wedding celebrations.

Meghan and Harry’s wedding hymn

Harry and Meghan also honored Diana through music at their wedding. The couple’s wedding hymn, “Guide Me, O Thy Great Redeemer,” was sung at Diana’s funeral.

Kate’s parenting style

Kate resembles Diana in many ways, including her parenting style. Like Diana, Kate grew up a commoner and recognizes the value of normalcy. She is now raising her children to live as normal as possible, just like Diana did with William and Harry.

Meghan and Harry’s wedding registry

Diana was more than a princess — she was also a philanthropist. Today, Harry and Meghan continue her humanitarian work with their involvement in some charities that reflect the late princess’ interests.
