Meghan Markle’s Nephew Is Celebrating the Royal Wedding With Marijuana, and People Are Freaking Out

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot on May 19, 2018. Markle’s nephew, Tom Dooley, unveiled how he planned to mark the occasion: Marijuana. And you won’t believe what he had in mind to celebrate the couple’s royal wedding.

Markle made headlines when the royal wedding invitations were mailed out and much of her family did not receive an invite. Dooley and his mother, Tracy, who was married to Markle’s half-brother, Thomas, appeared on Good Morning Britain after they realized they had not received invitations. “I don’t think we’re getting invitations, but that is fine,” Tracy said on the show. “We’re so proud of her.” At least Dooley found another way to celebrate.

Dooley grows marijuana for a living

Dooley lives in Oregon, where he works as a cannabis farmer. He already helps grow millions of dollars’ worth of marijuana at the Oregon farm, according to Dooley admitted he hasn’t spoken to Markle in at least three years. But he did say that Markle used to babysit him when he was younger, which is why he wants to celebrate her big day in the best way possible: Growing a marijuana strain in her name.

To celebrate the royal wedding, Dooley is launching a new cannabis strain called ‘Markle Sparkle’

Dooley announced his plans to launch a brand new cannabis strain named after his Aunt Meghan. reported that Dooley believes since Markle grew up in California, she probably has a positive view on marijuana. He thinks she’d be happy with the new strain. He told The Daily Mail that “Markle Sparkle” is very potent with a scent like blueberries. “It is unique and classy like my aunt,” he said.

He had planned to unveil the new strain at the High Times Cannabis Cup in California

Dooley announced that he planned on unveiling his newest masterpiece at the High Times Cannabis Cup, which is one of the world’s leading marijuana events. It takes place each year in Sonoma, California. The event attracts thousands of visitors worldwide. Dooley wants the strain to be as lucrative as possible.

The strain was eventually released shortly before the wedding. It won high praise from those in the business, and seems likely to continue to prosper.

Dooley said he would be happy to share some with his aunt and soon-to-be uncle. “I know Harry has always enjoyed a good party,” he told The Daily Mail. “I think he and my aunt will approve of this.” Dooley also noted that the strain is extremely potent. He remarked how unique the strain is and said it would “blow anyone’s crown off.”

Dooley already helps grow millions of dollars in marijuana profits, but he wants to expand the business even more. He even applied for a patent on the strain. The Daily Mail reported that he also enlisted the help of his mother to start an umbrella of “Royally Grown” products, as they’re calling them. Dooley and his mother plan to market other “Markle Sparkle” products like edibles and oils.

Despite Dooley’s excitement behind his newest creation, it’s important to note the side effects of marijuana are still in question. Overuse of marijuana has been linked to a lower sperm count, lung irritation, and mental health disorders such as schizophrenia, among other things. And although patients who use marijuana for its medicinal purposes have praised the drug, the effects can occur over the long term, leaving uncertainty about how safe the drug actually is.
