Melania Blows Off Donald Trump in Public Proving Yet Again That Their Marriage Is on the Rocks

Donald and Melania Trump have had a hard time in the public eye since Donald first announced his candidacy for president. There have been rumors about the stability of their marriage and some telltale signs of its impending end. Take a look at all the problems they have been having and the latest interaction on page 5 that is almost too painful to watch.

When a president is elected and sworn into office, there is always a big soiree to celebrate the occasion. For Donald Trump, there was no difference. During that party, they also have a first dance for the first couple.

They can be a little clumsy or very astute, but Donald and Melania’s was nothing short of awkward. We all watched as she tried to pull away from him multiple times and she just stood there stiff otherwise.

Next: As if that wasn’t enough, they took sleeping in separate rooms to another level.

They were living in separate states

When a marriage is going through some stuff, it’s sometimes suggested to sleep in separate rooms. It gives the couple some personal space and may help them sleep a little better to face the problems they’re having. But Donald and Melania slept in different states.

Their excuse was that they wanted Baron, their son, to finish out the school year. But Melania made no effort to expedite the moving process and seemed reluctant as can be to move into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Apparently, there has been a few scheduling conflicts. Melania and Donald take separate vehicles to Andrews Air Force base. The man works a thousand feet away from the woman and they could have taken a Marine One. The whole purpose of that ride is to avoid scheduling conflicts. But we respect the fact that both of them are busy people.

Donald joked about who was next to leave

At a Gridiron Club dinner, Donald gave a speech to the attendees. In that speech, he spoke about his administration and the amount of turnover and said “… I like turnover. I like chaos. It is really good. Now, the question everybody keeps asking: Who’s going to be the next to leave, Steve Miller or Melania?”

The speech was meant to be humorous, so we will take it with a grain of salt. Save for the fact that this was just a couple weeks after the Stormy Daniels accusations came out.

Next: This interaction with Donald is pretty painful and somewhat hilarious to watch.

While waiting for the French President, Emanuel Macron, at the White House, You can see Donald try to hold Melania’s hand. It starts off with a little pinky play, flicking it at her hand. Then it looks like he makes a little more effort like he’s not sure he should go for it or not.

Finally, they make a lackluster and almost formal agreement to hold hands. The look on Melania’s face says it all. The Daily Show with Trevor Noah made a hilarious video of the exchange overlayed in perfect sync to the Jaws song.

After any long flight, we imagine that people are pretty irritable. How would you feel sitting on a 20-hour flight listening to a person talk about themselves the whole time? Needless to say that when they got off the plane, Melania wanted nothing to do with hand holding and slapped Donald’s hand away when he tried.

Next: Trump has also forgotten a very important date.

Rule number one in a relationship: Never forget important dates. You basically have three to remember and they are her birthday, your anniversary, and valentines day. However, Donald says he was to busy to get the First Lady’s 48th birthday gift. The most powerful man in the world can’t send a page to the mall? Unlikely.

Next: Then there is the obvious cause for divorce with all of this flying around.

Let’s not forget about the biggest indicator of all: Infidelity

You can only say that the sky isn’t blue for so long until you have to face reality. Donald Trump has definitely cheated on Melania. Melania thinks that the dozens of accusers from multiple backgrounds are all out to get her husband. But the evidence is still insurmountable.

Have you ever watched your friends that are in a relationship fight? Well, the Trumps are like that, except less than half of Americans want to be their friends and even less think they can work it out. At least that’s what a Marist Poll says. Only 43% of Americans think First Lady Melania Trump should remain with her husband and try to work things out.

During the Women’s March in 2017, people made picket signs that said “Free Melania!” The Subsequent hashtag became trending on Twitter.

A sex and relationships expert and University of Washington sociologist Pepper Schwartz told the Los Angeles Times that “These people are under constant scrutiny.” Schwartz was wondering “Has anyone ever seen a loving gesture between them?” Having that amount of public attention should garner some public displays of affection.

Even the Clintons, through all their troubles, still managed to make it look like they were doing great amidst all of Bill inappropriate behavior.

Real estate

Melania would likely be granted one of Trump’s many real estate properties. Ivana was able to get a Trump Plaza apartment, so it’s possible Melania might also be granted a luxury apartment. Jacqueline Newman, a managing partner with Berkman Bottger Newman & Rodd told Town & Country it’s not uncommon for a wealthy spouse to purchase an apartment for the spouse with less money.

Personal property and businesses

When it comes to personal property like jewelry, these items generally stay in that person’s possession. So, for example, any jewelry given to Melania would likely be hers to keep. And what about money earned from her jewelry business? Without the actual agreement to review, it’s hard to say what would happen to any businesses Melania starts after their marriage.

Next: What about Barron?

Who would Barron stay with?

Melania has been quite vocal about the fact that she’s the main caregiver. It’s likely she would be the primary custodian if she and Donald were to divorce. Melania told People she has taken over most of the parenting duties since her husband travels often. She also told the magazine since Barron is at an age where he’s still discovering life, she wants to be an active guide. “He wants to be a golfer, a businessman, a pilot. It’s that age when you introduce him to stuff, and I like to be very hands-on,” she said.

Generous child support payments

If Melania and Donald Trump divorce, it’s also likely there will be generous child support payments. As noted earlier, Ivana received a pretty decent payout. Marla received less cash, but her settlement did include money for private school tuition for their daughter (Tiffany Trump), payments for nanny costs, and coverage for medical expenses.

What if there isn’t a prenup?

You might be wondering what would happen if there wasn’t a prenuptial agreement. If there isn’t a prenup (something that’s highly unlikely), attorney Peter Stambleck, a partner at Aronson Mayefsky & Sloan, told Town & Country things would likely get very complicated.

Billionaires have complicated asset structures. They have shell companies, LLCs, investments in other companies, and it’s very, very complicated. One main purpose of a prenup is to avoid having to share in that, but also to avoid the headache that goes into producing all the documents and having accountants come in and look at all of it. Theoretically, that’s what could happen in the absence of a prenup.

What would happen if they split up during his term?

Aside from their prenuptial agreement, Melania would leave the White House and become the “former first lady.” If a president were to divorce his wife and then remarry all while still serving his term, she would become the current FLOTUS in place of the former.

Getting a divorce while still in office probably won’t happen strictly for political reasons. In fact, it’s never happened before — and only one other previously divorced president has held office.

Most of the 45 U.S. presidents have entered the White House alongside their wives and stayed married throughout their terms. Only one former president never married. Another, like Donald, served as president alongside someone other than his first wife.

Ronald and Nancy Reagan married after his divorce from Jane Wyman. They stayed married until his death in 2004.

“Til death do us part” is a vow that’s held true for the majority of former U.S. presidents. Though some have remarried after the fact — both while in office and after their presidencies — most have stayed together despite scandal and public scrutiny.

So far, the longest-lasting presidential marriage (George H.W. and Barbara Bush) is still going strong after 73 years.
