Monday Motivation: The Best Motivational Quotes to Help You Get Through the Day
Mondays can be tough. It seems like all of life’s troubles are even harder to handle on the first day of the work week. One thing that can help give you the boost you need is a motivational quote. There’s nothing like a word of encouragement to inspire you to keep pushing yourself. Inspirational quotes can make all the difference.
Here are five motivational quotes to help you get through the day.
1. Get your fire back
You can’t be passive and just accept whatever comes along and think that’s your lot in life. We all have bad breaks and disappointments. Those challenges are not there to defeat you; they’re there to promote you … But you have to do your part and get your fire back. —Joel Osteen
Don’t let a tough break cause you to lose hope. Bad times are part of life, but you can bounce back. In his book Think Better, Live Better, pastor Joel Osteen emphasizes how important it is to respond positively when life throws you a curveball.
2. Never give up
When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you until it seems that you cannot hold on for a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time when the tide will turn.
— Harriet Beecher Stowe
When times get tough, it’s tempting to just throw in the towel. However, the tough times are exactly when you should press even harder and keep moving toward your goal. Your breakthrough will often come when things are the toughest.
3. Banish fear
Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears. –Les Brown
It will be hard to move forward if you let fear rule you. A fearful heart will prevent you from living your best life. One way to banish fear is to create a vision board. If you can see what you want to accomplish, this will give you the motivation you need to reach for your goals. Take Les Brown’s advice and stop living your fears.
4. You don’t have to become a victim of stress
While it is true that we can learn by making intelligent choices, not to make things worse for ourselves in certain ways, there are many things in life over which we have little control. Stress is part of life, part of being human, intrinsic to the human condition itself. But that does not mean that we have to be victims in the face of large forces in our lives. We can learn to work with them, understand them, find meaning in them, make critical choices, and use their energies to grow in strength, wisdom, and compassion.
One unavoidable part of work, and life, is stress. It can be a mild annoyance, or it can completely cripple you. However, you can rise above the stress and use it to your advantage. In his book Wherever You Go There You Are, mindfulness-based stress reduction expert Jon Kabat-Zinn says we can use those daily pressures to guide us.
5. Success will come
Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.
Try not to get discouraged if you’re not where you want to be in your career. Success takes time. Just remember to enjoy what you do, focus on the things that are going right, and success will follow.
