Although it hasn’t been long since we stayed up until the wee hours to watch the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, many Americans are already feeling somewhat of a “royal void” similar to what we felt after the beautiful union of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Luckily, we won’t have to wait long, since the Duke and Duchess of York’s daughter, Princess Eugenie, is set to walk down the aisle in October.
We don’t know much about Princess Eugenie or her fiance, Jack Brooksbank — but these popular photos make us think they’re just as charming as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
The latest photo everyone’s gushing over
Recently, Jack celebrated his 31st birthday. Eugenie posted a picture of the couple celebrating on her Instagram account, and people instantly started gushing.
The caption read: “Clearly I said something funny this time! Sums up Jack in a nutshell! Happy Birthday Jack.” That prompted commenters to say they seem like a sweet couple and congratulate them on their impending wedding. Eugenie hasn’t posted many candid shots, so it was nice to get such an adorable glimpse into their relationship.

This sweet moment was shared in March
The couple announced their engagement in January, and this picture was posted in March, right after Eugenie launched her Instagram account. Eugenie appears to be laughing, and the caption reads “Think Jack said something funny!”
She could have chosen to post a stiff, formal photo — after all, these were the outfits the couple was wearing for their official engagement shoot. By posting this picture, she’s choosing to reveal their silly side.
Next: Clearly, this is a couple that knows how to have fun together.
Apparently, they are Knicks (or Nets?) fans
Many of the public pictures of Eugenie and Jack are from fancy weddings, posh parties, and galas. But occasionally you’ll see a more casual side to the duo, including this picture of them captivated by the Brooklyn Nets versus New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden in October 2017. The intense looks on their faces tells us they were both emotionally invested. But were they rooting for the Nets or the Knicks?

Eugenie is clearly passionate about children’s causes
In several of her Instagram posts, Eugenie is clearly speaking at charity events and supporting various causes (she made a point to launch her Instagram account on International Women’s Day, for example). A quick Google search revealed she has supported numerous causes and organizations over the years, from Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity to Kids Company.
Both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are known for their charity work, so if that’s something Eugenie continues to do, she’ll probably bond with the duchesses over it.

Who is Princess Eugenie, exactly?
Eugenie is the third of the Queen’s four granddaughters and the daughter of Prince Andrew, the Queen’s third child. This means she is Prince William and Prince Harry’s cousin and ninth in line for the thrown. She has a sister, Princess Beatrice — and you may have seen photographs of them at Kate and William’s wedding in some seriously flamboyant hats.
She works full-time in the art world, and she’s also Patron of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. She underwent back surgery to correct scoliosis when she was 12, and as a result, the cause is near and dear to her heart.

Meet Jack Brooksbank
The next member of the royal family has stayed out of the spotlight for the most part, but there’s still plenty we know about Jack Brooksbank. The 32-year-old met Eugenie seven years ago while skiing in Switzerland, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. He even reportedly gets along very well with his future in-laws, whom he has gotten to know well.
One fun fact about Jack: He’s the UK ambassador for Casamigos, the tequila brand of George Clooney and Rande Gerber. He has a long career in hospitality, even managing the popular London nightclub Mahiki for awhile.

Here’s why Eugenia can have an Instagram account
The royal family is supposed to remain private, and that means staying off social media — Meghan Markle’s fans were understandably devastated when she shut down her Instagram and blog after getting engaged to Harry, but she was just following protocol. But since Eugenia created her account in March, people have been wondering how she was allowed to break the rules.
Apparently, it all comes down to rank and where Eugenie falls in line to the throne. Because she isn’t a full-time royal, she has to earn a living with a regular job, and thus it is believed she is allowed to run her own social media accounts. We’re certainly looking forward to some newlywed shots of her and Jack.
