Pippa’s pregnancy news reported
Just days before Kate, 36, gave birth to her second son in April 2018, news outlets reported Pippa, 34, was a few months pregnant. The Sun revealed Pippa had told friends of her pregnancy after her 12-week ultrasound.
The Duchess of Cambridge was reportedly the first person with whom Pippa and her husband shared the happy news. Kate “could not have been more delighted” on learning her younger sister was expecting, a friend told The Sun.

Pippa’s father-in-law arrested
Pippa’s happy news is overshadowed a bit by a report her father-in-law David Matthews was arrested at a Paris airport in March 2018 for rape of a minor. The alleged attack happened on the French-controlled Caribbean island St. Barts, where he has lived with wife Jane for more than 20 years.
The 74-year-old hotel boss denied the claims, calling them “untrue and scandalous.” He faces two rape allegations, both from decades ago, and authorities will decide in coming months whether to bring him to trial. He was released on bail after his recent arrest.

Pippa famously held Kate’s train
Just like Kate assisted at her wedding, it was Pippa’s job to carry Kate’s train back in 2011 when she married Prince William. Pippa unexpectedly stole some of the spotlight thanks to her form-fitting Alexander McQueen dress. People named her derriere a Top Body Moment of 2011, and some even accused her of wearing a “false bottom.”
“As I have found out, recognition has its upside, its downside and — you may say — its backside,” Pippa joked after the wedding, adding that the dress “fitted a little too well.”
