Signs That Tiffany and Donald Trump’s Relationship Is Just as Awkward as You Think
Tiffany Trump, the youngest daughter of President Donald Trump, has not spent as much time in the spotlight as her siblings. It’s lead the media to wonder how close Tiffany Trump and her father actually are. According to some sources, the two don’t have the father-daughter relationship you’d expect. In fact, their relationship is actually quite awkward.
Tiffany Trump was not raised by her father
Tiffany Trump’s parents, Marla Maples and Donald Trump, got divorced in 1999. That’s when Maples decided to move her daughter out to California and raise her outside of the limelight. She told People in an interview, “Her daddy is a good provider with education and such, but as far as time, it was just me.” Maples said she raised her daughter the way she was raised, and cooked her dinner five nights a week. They even had a trampoline in the backyard.

She mostly saw her father while on spring break
While Tiffany Trump was not raised by her father, she did spend time with him during school holidays. Maples told People that she would bring Tiffany Trump to New York City a few times each year to spend time with her father. Maples encouraged her daughter to develop a relationship with her father on her own terms. Tiffany Trump often accompanied Donald and Melania Trump at dinner (without Maples) when she was in New York so she could get to know them in her own way.

She dated a democrat while her father was running for president
Well, this is awkward. While Donald Trump was the Republican candidate for office, Tiffany Trump was in a serious relationship with a democrat, Ross Mechanic. And when the March for Our Lives took place, Instagram users noted that Tiffany Trump was “liking” social media posts about the march, including protest signs that called out her father’s political party. She was the only one of the Trumps to voice any opinion about the march on the day it happened.

She was rarely seen on the campaign trail
Donald Trump’s children made many appearances on his campaign trail, but Tiffany Trump was mostly absent. In fact, The New York Times even wrote an article about her during Trump’s campaign, dubbing her “The Other Trump.” With the exception of a speech during the Republican National Convention, Tiffany Trump was practically unheard of throughout the campaign. When she showed up at the Hofstra University debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, people were shocked.

A source said Tiffany Trump did not feel comfortable at family events
A source told the media that when Tiffany Trump was at a family function with her father’s side of the family, she felt awkward and out of place. She might have felt out of place because of her lack of communication with President Trump. But it’s possible she felt out of place because she doesn’t always agree with what her father says and does.

Tiffany Trump and her father have grown even more distant since his presidency
The source also said that since Donald Trump won the presidency, Tiffany Trump has hardly seen or spoken to him. Although Tiffany Trump is attending law school at Georgetown — just a stone’s throw from her father’s house — the two don’t spend much time together. We can imagine that running the country takes up a lot of President Trump’s time. But it seems he can’t even find the time to meet his daughter for dinner.

But she did spend Easter at the White House
It looks like Tiffany Trump still has the same setup with her father that she had when she was growing up: She sees him on breaks and holidays. The youngest Trump daughter spent the 2018 Easter holiday with her family at the White House. She also attended the annual Easter Egg Roll. She was seen at a mass on Easter Sunday with her father and first lady Melania Trump. None of the other Trumps were at the mass.
