This Is the 1 Food Meghan Markle Can’t Live Without
Even if you never checked out Meghan Markle‘s food blog, you probably know what a major foodie she is. The American actress knows her way around the kitchen and has revealed in many interviews some of her absolute favorite dishes both to prepare and to eat. Here are some of Markle’s favorite foods, including the one food she absolutely can’t live without (see page 5).
Her favorite breakfast
In an interview with The New Potato, Markle reveals her ideal food day. To start things off, Prince Harry’s wife would have a “Clean Cleanse vanilla shake blended with frozen Ontario blueberries.” Although Ontario may be a long way from her new home across the pond, we’re sure she’ll find plenty more blueberries to whip up for breakfast.

Perfect pasta sauce
Pasta appears to be a staple on the Meghan Markle menu. According to an interview she did with Delish, a pasta dinner is even part of her diet menu. But her pasta gets an extra kick from the slow-cooked zucchini sauce she makes. “The sauce gets so creamy you’d swear there’s tons of butter and oil in it,” she says. “But it’s just zucchini, water and a little bouillon.”

Her go-to salad
Whether she’s eating healthy or indulging, a salad with some sort of protein is Markle’s jam. Her all-time favorite? She tells The New Potato that a salade nicoise with goat cheese and a glass of rose is her ideal lunch. (More on that glass of wine in just a bit.)

The royal has traveled the world and eaten at many wonderful restaurants along the way. She tells Delish, though, that she had a truly life-changing meal at a tiny restaurant outside of Bangkok. “There’s no Michelin star, it’s not fancy,” she says. Nevertheless, the pad thai she had allegedly changed her life.

The 1 food she can’t live without …
… is French fries. According to Markle, she would eat them every day if she could. In fact, she loves them so much that it was reported that they were going to be served at her and Prince Harry’s wedding reception. No word yet on whether they appeared, or were British chips or American fries…

She even makes fry dishes herself
Markle lived in Canada while filming Suits, so she indulged in the country’s signature dish: poutine. And it doesn’t come as much of a shock that she makes it herself and knows the secret to making the perfect batch. “The cheese curds should make a squeaking noise when you bite into them or squeeze them,” she tells Delish. “That’s how you know you’ve got the right kind.”

Her other favorite vice
Remember how Markle said her ideal lunch would be accompanied by a glass of wine? As it turns out, wine is her second biggest weakness, right up there with fries. She is an especially big fan of red wines, tapping Tignanello as her all-around favorite. (Her former food blog, The Tig, was named after it.)
