The Latest in Dwayne Johnson’s String of Celebrity Feuds Makes Us Think the Star Is Mentally Unstable
These days, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is more well-known for his diverse and impressive string of movie roles than his former career as a popular WWE wrestler. And aside from being a remarkable actor, he seems to be an extremely likable person.
But no one can deny that Johnson has had some pretty intense feuds with his co-stars, and his latest comments have us wondering if he might have some anger issues. It seems as if not everyone loves The Rock.
It all started with John Cena
Johnson and John Cena were rivals in their WWE days. And while many people assumed it was all for show, Johnson recently admitted the two had real problems with each other. But he also said those days are behind them and the two are now good friends.
Are Cena and Johnson really friends?
Recently, Johnson went on Jimmy Kimmel, Live!, where he mentioned that he and Cena are now friends. But he also half-jokingly threatened Cena, claiming he’d “clean his ass” with a toothbrush if he got out of line. Cena went on Kimmel the very next night, where he responded to Johnson’s rant with a tirade of his own. They’re most likely just kidding around, but you never know with these two.

The beef with Vin Diesel
In 2016, after wrapping up filming for one of the Fast and the Furious movies, Johnson posted quite a rant on his Instagram account. He deleted it later, but the damage had been done.
“Some [male co-stars] conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t,” Johnson wrote. “The ones that don’t are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses.”
Though Johnson never named names, it was obvious to most that the rant was about Vin Diesel.
Next: Johnson’s rant caught the attention of another Fast and Furious co-star.
Tyrese Gibson took Vin Diesel’s side
After Johnson’s controversial 2016 post, Tyrese Gibson responded with a (now deleted) Instagram rant of his own, both in defense in Vin Diesel and to clarify that he wasn’t aware of any bad blood between the cast. Over the course of the next year, Gibson and Johnson took a few subtle digs at each other before claiming that the conflict had been resolved.
However, an Instagram post by Gibson late in 2017 indicates this is not the case:
“Hello world………. hello loyal fans and loved ones from OUR fast universe…….. I’m sorry to announce that if Dewayne is in Fast9 there will no more Roman Peirce – You mess with family and my daughters survival I mess with yours……… close your eyes dude you’re a ‘Clown’…… #CandyAssBitchMade,” he shared with his nine million followers. “All my real one…. Men on integrity… my real ones out here stand UP…… folks that GP to the gym and get big naturally #NoJuice #NoOJ spin off huh? Spin off these nuts selfish champ…… pause notice who’s got his arms around my shoulder and who’s standing alone – #OurChildrenMatter.”
No one knows exactly what the latest drama is about, but it doesn’t look good.
Next: Tyrese has another good reason not to care for Johnson.
Dwayne Johnson, the album critic?
It seems that Gibson has more than one reason to dislike Johnson. In October 2017, Gibson posted a video of Johnson criticizing his 2015 album Black Rose. Johnson called it “the biggest piece of dog s**t that I have ever heard.” Ouch.
Next: The calm before the storm
For awhile it seemed like all was well …
Johnson and Vin Diesel have both made several comments in recent years that indicated his feud with Vin Diesel was over. Johnson claimed it all started with a confrontation over professionalism.
“Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer,” he said. “And what I came to realize is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach moviemaking and collaborating. It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not.”
Next: It appears all is not forgiven.
… But these 2 actors are far from friends
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Johnson explained where the feud originated … but he was quick to add that all was not forgiven.
“But I wish him all the best, and I harbor no ill will there, just because of the clarity we have,” Johnson said of Vin Diesel, before adding, “Actually, you can erase that last part about ‘no ill will.’ We’ll just keep it with the clarity.”
To blatantly admit you harbor ill will toward someone is a good indicator that a feud is still going strong. Whether The Rock is a little hot under the collar or just misunderstood, we hope it all works out for the best.
