This May Be the Real Reason Bethenny Frankel Dissed Carole Radziwill’s Career and Called Her Boyfriend Behind Her Back
Both women hinted about having tension since season 10 began, but the root of their discord has been a mystery. Until now. The bombshell reveal begins on page 5.
1. This is when it started getting weird
Last season the pair was thick as thieves, practically inseparable. But after season nine wrapped, fans didn’t see how the women drifted apart.
Radziwill started training for the New York City Marathon during the spring and summer, while Frankel’s attentions were devoted to providing relief to hurricane-torn areas like Houston and Puerto Rico, according to US Magazine.
Next: Some speculated this was the reason the women’s friendship cooled.
2. Was she to blame?
While Frankel was busy with relief efforts, Radziwill grew closer to castmate Tinsley Mortimer. “Bethenny’s jealous of their relationship,” a source told US Magazine. “Tinsley has replaced her as New York City Marathon Carole’s bestie.”
Next: This couldn’t be the reason to break up a friendship, could it?
3. Radziwill said this bummed her out
Radziwill invited all the women to support her at the marathon, but only Mortimer showed up. Plus Frankel didn’t even post a congratulatory note on social media either.
Next: Frankel’s reason didn’t add up either.
4. Is this why Frankel excluded her?
Frankel said while she donated money to her hurricane relief efforts, Radziwill wasn’t interested in being an active participant. Frankel invited some of the RHONY donors to her charity event, but Radziwill was not on the list.
A fan asked why and Frankel tweeted, “I had 1 table & brought my relief team. I wanted other tables for major donors. This was business not personal. Ramona & I aren’t bff but she quietly donated early. #bstrong is about the benjamins.”
Next: Things remained passive aggressive until this was revealed.
5. The rift had nothing (and everything) to do with Radziwill
Frankel dropped a bomb when she revealed to castmate Dorinda Medley she asked Radziwill’s on-again, off-again boyfriend Adam Kenworthy for volunteer assistance during Hurricane Harvey, Bravo Daily Dish reports.
Kenworthy said he couldn’t help unless he was compensated. Frankel said everyone was volunteering for free and his response, “rubbed me the wrong way.” Furthermore, Carole didn’t think it was odd Kenworthy didn’t want to work for free, which Frankel found off-putting.
Next: But then she went here.
6. Frankel was so annoyed she said this to Radziwill
Frankel recalled her conversation with Radziwill after she spoke with Kenworthy. “There’s been other things I’ve personally felt and I said, ‘I think he’s a bit of an operator,’” Frankel said, according to People. “And she goes, ‘Everyone’s an operator. Everyone who is successful in business is an operator. It’s good that he’s an operator. I’m glad that he’s a hustler.’”
Next: The knife went into Radziwill’s back even further on the show.
7. The attack becomes very personal
Radziwill’s response didn’t sit well with Frankel. So much she said this to Medley about her former buddy. “We’re totally on different pages. It occurred to me that we don’t have that much in common. She does have more in common with Tinsley [Mortimer] in the fact that Carole isn’t married, doesn’t have kids, and doesn’t have a career. … She knows [we’re] a little off.”
Next: Radziwill responds to Frankel’s comments.
8. Radziwill said to ‘pass the popcorn’
Radziwill slammed Frankel in her blog writing, “What would you do if your friend called your boyfriend, secretly behind your back, and asked him to go to Houston with her? Yeah, that happened.”
She added, “Dorinda is being used as a pawn to further Bethenny’s agenda and she doesn’t quite know it — yet. Not only am I a high maintenance, eyelash-wearing, fashion-obsessed, childless friend who doesn’t have a job and isn’t interested in what’s going on in the world, but guess what, Adam is too (minus the lashes)!”
“As a woman, it makes me sad to watch another women, who I thought was my friend, talk behind my back with such cattiness and disrespect. But it makes good television and in the end that is Bethenny’s one true friend. Pass the popcorn.”
