7 Warning Signs Melania Trump Is Already Thinking About Divorcing Donald Trump

It doesn’t take an expert to recognize that Melania Trump and Donald Trump’s relationship is on the rocks — or at least not hot and heavy. As the warning signs continue to grow, many are speculating what might happen if the first couple gets a divorce.

These are the seven warning signs that Melania Trump isn’t happy in the White House or her marriage, including the one rumor about their marriage that indicates they were doomed from the start (page 7).

1. She was reluctant for him to run in the first place

  • Melania didn’t want Donald to be president.

Sources close to the Trumps adamantly tell stories of a scared Melania — one who didn’t want her husband to win the presidency, “come hell or high water.” A longtime friend of the Trumps told Vanity Fair, “This isn’t something she wanted. … I don’t think she thought it was going to happen.”

Case in point? Melania is the only first lady to date who delayed moving in with her husband when he took over the White House. According to Trump adviser Roger Stone, Melania compromised her wishes in allowing Donald to run. “She said, ‘It’s not my thing. It’s Donald’s thing,'” Stone claimed.

2. Her body language is plain and simple

  • Experts compare the couple’s early body language to the recent years, and the outcome isn’t positive.

Melania used to pose with her arms wrapped around Donald, smiling wide to show off the pearly whites that booked her countless modeling gigs. So experts can’t help but analyze how the first lady’s body language has changed since moving to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

She “has a hard time showing joy on a day-to-day basis; it’s not her gig,” body language expert Traci Brown told Elite Daily. But whether you watched her smile turn to a frown on Inauguration Day or analyzed how she swatted away her husband’s hand, it doesn’t take a genius to see Melania’s discomfort showing affection.

3. He jokes about divorce

  • Donald joked about Melania leaving the White House next.

While he may appear ignorant of his Cabinet’s revolving door of employees, Donald Trump looked critics head-on during the annual Gridiron Club Dinner with a relevant joke. “So many people have been leaving the White House,” he said. “It’s actually been really exciting and invigorating ’cause you want new thought. So, I like turnover. I like chaos. It really is good.”

He finished the joke with a punchline that put the media in a frenzy (as he likely intended). “Now the question everyone keeps asking is, ‘Who is going to be the next to leave? Steve Miller or Melania?'”

4. They sleep in separate beds

  • First couples have slept in separate beds in the past, but it hasn’t ended well.

They aren’t the only first couple to sleep in separate beds — the Nixons and the Kennedys did, as well — but their predecessors don’t give us much hope for the solidity of their marriage. According to the pseudo-accurate Trump expose Fire and Fury and The Washington Post, the couple sleep in separate beds (and rooms) behind locked doors.

“Trump, in fact, found the White House to be vexing and even a little scary,” Michael Wolff wrote. “He retreated to his own bedroom — the first time since the Kennedy White House that a presidential couple had maintained separate rooms.”

5. They spend very little time together

  • A longtime friend of the president claims the couple spends no time together.

Melania’s longtime friend Stephanie Wolkoff called the two “not that couple that holds hands just because,” according to The Washington Post. While she defended their relationship, another source close to the Trumps wasn’t so confident.

“They spend very little to no time together,” another close friend told The Washington Post. The couple notably makes little effort to even pretend they spend time off-camera with one another, and several people familiar with their schedules say they’re mostly apart in their free time. Several current and past aides say the two don’t dine together in the White House, either.

6. He’s cheated on her in the past

  • Donald allegedly had an affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels a year after marrying Melania.
  • He faces over 10 accusations of sexual misconduct.

January 2018 was a dramatic month for the president and the media, as sources uncovered Donald allegedly had an affair with porn star Stormy Daniels. His personal lawyer at the time, Michael Cohen, reportedly paid her hush money, further indicating Donald’s guilt.

Sources close to the couple said Melania was “blindsided” by news of Donald’s affair. Reports claim it began in 2006, a year after the couple married and around the time Melania was pregnant and gave birth to Barron.

7. Rumors circulated their marriage is a business deal

  • Melania never expected to be in the public eye like this.

They reportedly go days without speaking to one another, Melania avoids the West Wing at all costs, and Donald refers to her as his “trophy wife.” Not exactly the stuff fairy tales are made of.

But was their relationship a business deal from the start? Some think so. Melania became Donald’s third wife in 2005. (He was 59 years old at the time while she was 35.) She began a life of luxury and relative anonymity in a New York City penthouse. And the first lady of the United States is a position we doubt she anticipated taking on.
