Wayne Newton’s Cosmetic Surgery Shocked Fans on ‘The Bachelorette’
“The Bachelorette” Becca Kufrin has taken her quest for love to Park City, Utah and Las Vegas, Nevada thus far. Each trip is topped off with celebrity and olympian help and this week’s show was no different. Kufrin met Mr. Las Vegas himself, Wayne Newton, at his Las Vegas mansion to discuss love, life, and private jets.
Fans became less concerned with Kufrin’s debate between macho and manicured and more intrigued with Wayne Newton’s clearly cosmetically-altered appearance.
“Wayne Newton has had so much plastic surgery that his face can’t move, but you can still see the disappointment on what’s left of it.
#TheBachelerotte,” a viewer tweeted. Another asked, “Does Wayne Newton’s face snap on?”
Newton appeared on the group date in Sin City
Nine of Kufrin’s contenders got to experience the luxury that is Newton’s Las Vegas mansion. Newton also offered them tips on how to romance women and coached them through writing songs for Kufrin. Newton gave them an elite title as well: “Becca’s Bachelorette Rat Pack.”
While Newton performed his hit “Danke Schoen” for his wife Kathleen to prove what he told the contestants: “Music is what love is all about.” And while viewers got to watch the men perform at the Aria Resort and Casino, all the internet could talk about was Newton’s face.
“Wayne Newton? He was definitely must see back in the day. But now? He definitely has a face for radio.
#TheBachelorette,” A viewer tweeted. Viewers noted how Newton could barely move his mouth when he talked and it appeared difficult for him to kiss his wife.
Plastic surgeons weighed in on the possible surgeries Newton had to achieve his “younger” look (the singer is 76). They speculated a facelift, consistent botox, and a nose job were all part of the mix.
How plastic surgery can affect your health
While Newton likely got surgery to look younger, going under the knife doesn’t always equal the good health of your youth. Potential cosmetic surgery complications include infection, scarring, fluid buildup, and permanent skin numbness.
The Mayo Clinic stresses the importance of making a decision based on a clear understanding of the preliminary procedures and aftermath of plastic surgery. Keeping a realistic mindset about what changes are possible is a crucial component of the entire process.
