Now That Prince Harry’s Married, We Reveal the Most Eligible Royal Bachelor and Bachelorette

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding was absolutely stunning — and there’s no doubt these two are in love. But once the “bad boy” of the royal family was taken, women everywhere collectively mourned their loss. Is there any chance for other commoners to snag a royal?

Luckily, it seems all hope is not lost. Not only is there one royal bachelorette who’s still single, but Harry brought one head-turning guest to his wedding as well (page 5). And you’ll have to snatch Harry’s guest before this eager celebrity on page 8 does.

1. First, the bachelorette: Princess Beatrice

You may know her as the girl with the crazy hats, but in reality, Princess Beatrice is one of the most eligible bachelorettes in the British royal family. Town & Country explains she’s currently eighth in line for the throne since she’s a “blood princess.” You’re also probably familiar with her sister, Princess Eugenie, who tends to claim more of the spotlight.

You may not hear about Beatrice as often as the other royals. But her single status is certainly drawing attention.

Next: Her past relationships haven’t gone according to plan.

2. She dated one man for over a decade, but now, she’s single

Beatrice and beau, Dave Clark, seemed like the perfect couple. But after 10 years of dating, Daily Mail Online notes the relationship soured after the two talked of getting married. A source told the publication, “They talked it through and decided to take time apart to reflect on the future. They remain friends and the decision to break up was mutual.”

Other sources, however, have reported that Beatrice gave Dave an ultimatum stating she wanted to get married or part ways. Either way, Dave proposed to his next girlfriend within a year of dating her. Ouch.

Next: If you dated Beatrice, you’d have to take on this baggage, too.

3. You likely remember her scandalous mother, Sarah Ferguson

Dating someone means taking on their family history and baggage — and that’s no different for the royals. Sarah Ferguson, the mother of Beatrice and Eugenie, is no stranger to scandal.

She married into the royal family by wedding to Prince Andrew, making her the Duchess of York. But after she and Andrew announced their separation in the early ’90s, a tabloid took photos of her sunbathing topless with financial manager John Bryan kissing her feet. She and Andrew have since divorced, but they remain quite close. And Sarah’s embarrassing scandals have ruffled quite a few feathers in the royal family over the years.

4. Her sister’s upcoming marriage may push her to find her mate

Everyone thought Beatrice would be the one to get married before Eugenie. But now that Eugenie’s engaged, Beatrice may be feeling the pressure. Metro.co.uk reports the royal was seen on dates throughout 2018, and she even connected with her high-profile friends, like Heidi Klum, to help her with her love life.

The publication notes lawyer and fitness trainer James Williams went on a date with Beatrice at the beginning of the year, too. But it seems it’s all fizzled out since then, making her totally single.

5. Now, the bachelor: Louis Spencer

We were all watching Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on their wedding day of course — but no one could miss Louis Spencer, Harry’s (single) cousin. People notes the 24-year-old was with his mother, Victoria Aitken, and his two sisters were also in attendance. And the entire family looked absolutely dashing.

It turns out Louis’ mother was a model prior to her marriage in 1989. And she seems incredibly close to her son, as he’s escorted her to other high-profile events before.

Next: Louis has a very royal connection.

6. He comes from royal blood, even if he’s not technically a royal himself

He may not be as famous as the princes, but that doesn’t mean Louis doesn’t descend from royalty. He’s the son of Princess Diana’s brother, after all. And Insider explains he’ll one day get his father’s title of Earl of Spencer and inherit a huge, beautiful estate. Princess Diana herself lived there herself from the age of 7 until she was married. Sounds like quite the heirloom to us.

While Louis is single now, a future wife would be a countess. This may also entice any hopeful single women out there.

Next: Louis seems willing to break from tradition.

7. Louis may not be as traditional as the other royals

We all know Prince Harry broke some serious traditions by dating and then marrying someone like Meghan Markle. And for any Americans hoping to meet a British royal, Louis should be on your radar. Insider says he’s already broken tradition by attending school in Cape Town, South Africa instead of the prestigious boarding schools the other royals went to in England. And as for college, he went to the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.

Next: It seems one celebrity, in particular, is fond of him.

8.  Nicki Minaj seems to have a thing for him

It seems Nicki Minaj laid claim on Louis way back in 2015. She posted a photo of her hugging him with the caption, “Check out our wedding photo.” No one thought too much about it back then, but it’s since resurfaced.

Nicki Minaj isn’t the only one on social media who’s posted about Louis, either. Twitter has gone crazy for the royal relative since his appearance at the wedding, with everyone hoping he’s single. So far, the odds are looking good.
