Cramer is a fan of Assurant, a company he said has a solid track record and should be a strong pick looking toward the start of 2014. The specialty insurer operates many divisions, some of which deal with insuring solar panel installations and cell phone security, to name a couple.

Applied Materials Inc. (NASDAQ:AMAT): Jim Cramer ranked this stock a Buy. Cramer previously ranked this stock a Buy on August 1. The stock’s 52-week high is $16.78, and its 52-week low is $9.95. Cramer is optimistic about Applied Materials, a developer of semiconductors and software used by manufacturers of electronic products, claiming that it could go as high as $22. Earlier this month, the company announced a 10 cent dividend on its shares, to be paid out this December.

Diana Shipping Inc. (NYSE:DSX): Jim Cramer ranked this stock a Buy. Cramer previously ranked this stock a Buy on April 12. The stock’s 52-week high is $13.24, and its 52-week low is $6.45. Cramer said he likes Diana Shipping, which has been steadily on the rise over the past year. However, analysts have mixed opinions, with a consensus price target usually coming in at around $10.50, considerably less than what the stock is currently trading at.
