Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is currently completing work on its newest operating system, Windows 8, which should challenge Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) primacy in tablets, but at the same time forecasts that 350 million devices running Windows 7 will be shipped in 2012, according to a Bloomberg report.

United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) comments from the Electrical Products Group Conference, include its expectation of closing on the divestiture of Clipper Windpower by year’s end, and of its purchase of Goodrich (NYSE:GR) by mid-to-late July.
