Perhaps they can saw the trademark in half? According to The Next Web (via The Beijing Times), Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Proview Technology are in negotiations over the rights to the Chinese iPad trademark, after a California court threw out a claim by Proview over the rights to the iPad name. However, the two parties remain far apart. Proview is reportedly seeking at least $400 million, with Apple offering up $16 million. Apple shares were down 0.45% in recent trading, at $567.94.

Videoconferencing company Polycom, Inc. (NASDAQ:PLCM) has agreed to sell its enterprise wireless voice solutions business to an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners for approximately $110M in cash. The divestiture is expected to close by the third quarter of this year. The company’s board of directors has signed-off on an increase in its current share repurchase authorization that will include net proceeds from the sale of approximately $104 million. Polycom shares recently traded at $12.20, up $0.19, or 1.58%.
