Health Care REIT, Inc. (NYSE:HCN) will unveil its latest earnings on Thursday, February 16, 2012. The average analyst estimate is for profit of 90 cents per share, a rise of 20% from the company’s actual earnings for the year-ago quarter. The average estimate is the same as three months ago. Between one and three months ago, the average estimate was unchanged. It also has not changed during the last month. Analysts are projecting profit to rise by 10.1% compared to last year’s $3.39.

Last quarter, the company fell short of estimates by 9 cents, coming in at net income of 79 cents a share versus the estimate of profit of 88 cents a share. It was the fourth straight quarter of missing estimates. Analysts are projecting a rise of 92.4% in revenue from the year-earlier quarter to $389.5 million.

The average estimate is the same as three months ago. Between one and three months ago, the average estimate was unchanged. It also has not changed during the last month. Analysts are projecting profit to rise by 41.5% versus last year to $1.55.

The company beat estimates last quarter after falling short in the prior two. In the third quarter, the company reported profit of 80 cents per share versus a mean estimate of net income of 62 cents per share. In the second quarter, the company missed estimates by 19 cents. Analysts predict a decline of 14.3% in revenue from the year-earlier quarter to $176.3 million.
