France Telecom (NYSE:FTE): Current Price $10.65

The entertainment group Vivendi has extended a bid to purchase France Telecom’s Dailymotion, which is an online video-sharing service at the center of a dispute over political interference in French firms, according to the news website Wansquare, which added that a consortium comprised of Iliad founder Xavier Niel, Lazard banker Matthieu Pigasse and the industrialist Pierre Berge has also made an offer, but at a much lower price than previously offered by Yahoo! (NASDAQ:YHOO). France Telecom had been in discussions to divest a 75-percent interest in Dailymotion to Yahoo, but that was faced with opposition from French Industry Minister Arnaud Montebourg, who does not want American companies to gobble up French entities.

The company wants to sell its Wish-Bone salad dressing unit, said Mergermarket, citing a knowledgeable source and three industry bankers, who also said that Unilever has hired Goldman Sachs Group (NYSE:GS) for the sale process.

Dell has announced its purchase of Enstratius, an enterprise cloud-management software and services provider that delivers single and multi-cloud management capabilities. The acquisition of Enstratius further advances Dell’s end-to-end solutions strategy, affording critical capabilities to deliver cloud-management solutions to customers. Enstratius is available as software-as-a-service or as on-premises software, permitting full control from within a customers data center, or by means of a hosted service. Financials of the transaction were not reported.
