3 Stocks in the Trading Spotlight After Hours

Chevron (NYSE:CVX) shares rebounded 0.19% in after-hours trading after closing down 1.34% upon news of a fire at one of their refineries in Wales. The fire was ultimately extinguished after pushing down energy stocks today.

VeriFone (NYSE:PAY) reported second quarter earnings today, with revenue up 21.5% year-over-year, and net income up 27 cents a share. VeriFone shares closed regular trading hours at $47.14 a share, up 1.62%. But the electronic payments company didn’t fare so well in after-hours trading, dropping 0.40%.

ProLogis (NYSE:PLD) shares fell 4.28% today on unusually high volume. Shareholders of both ProLogis and AMB Property Corp. (NYSE:AMB) have agreed to an equal merger of the two real estate investment trusts, which will result in the world’s biggest REIT. Shares continue to trade at a hefty clip after hours.
