Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) announced that hundreds of personal Gmail accounts had been hacked, tracing the hackers back to China, though Chinese authorities deny the accusations. But in a testament to Google’s popularity, or at least pervasive necessity, shares are up 0.46% in pre-market trading.

Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) introduced its new operating system Wednesday — a version Windows that will operate on tablets and touch-screen personal computers. Shares are up 0.45% this morning.
