Knowledgeable sources report that the Pakistan mobile operator Warid Telecom has been put on the block by its owners in Abu Dhabi, and could entice interest from China Mobile and Etisalat. The Abu Dhabi Group, which is a conglomerate led by a ruling family member in the emirate, wants to divest the entirety of its shares in Warid Telecom, according to two of the sources, while a third source said that the company would also sell a smaller controlling interest.

Cynosure (NASDAQ:CYNO): Current price $23.64

Cynosure on Tuesday reported the completion of its purchase of Palomar Medical Technologies, which was through a cash and stock transaction valued at roughly $287 million. In the deal, Cynosure issued about 6 million shares, and paid around $146 million in cash contributed by both Cynosure and Palomar. Cynosure produces laser- and light-based treatments for minimally invasive and non-invasive aesthetic applications.

Aegion Corporation (NASDAQ:AEGN): Current price $22.21

On Tuesday, Aegion announced that it will buy the equity shares of Brinderson, and related entities at a purchase price of $150 million, in a transaction that should close on or around July 1st. Brinderson is an integrated service provider of construction, maintenance, engineering and turnaround activities for the upstream and downstream oil and gas markets.

Demand Media (NYSE: DMD): Current price $6.41

Demand Media has purchased the digital marketplace powered by artists, Society6, with total consideration of about $94 million, comprised of $75 million in cash and approximately $19 million in common stock at close. The e-commerce marketplace allows artists to seamlessly upload and merchandise unique artwork, and to sell an array of products like art prints, phone cases, home décor, along with other merchandise. Society6 further broadens Demand Media’s content & media platform via its rapidly-growing e-commerce marketplace which includes over 100 million product SKUs and a community of more than 300,000 members.
