If the sale occurs, Time Warner would relinquish a last vestige of its ill-fated merger with America Online, according to two sources. However, another source opined Wednesday that the firm might still retain its portion of the Time Warner Center, which constitutes a complex that Chief Executive Jeff Bewkes once called an “indulgence.”

Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRKB): Current price $96.77
Berkshire Hathaway has purchased the Greensboro News & Record from Landmark Media Enterprises as the company keeps to its strategy of collecting community newspapers. This paper has a daily circulation of 58,000, and 86,000 on Sunday, according to the media division at Omaha in an e-mailed statement. There was no mention of financial terms.
Endo Health Solutions (NASDAQ:ENDP) Current price $31.75
In recent weeks, the maker of pain relief medication has held discussions with drugmakers who might potentially be interested in acquiring the company, according to knowledgeable sources on Wednesday, who added that the parties involved in the exploratory talks included Warner Chilcott and Valeant Pharmaceuticals International. Endo said in December its longtime Chief Executive, David Holveck, would step down this year.
Avery Dennison Corporation (NYSE:AVY): Current price $38.53
Avery is selling its Office and Consumer Products and Designed and Engineered Solutions businesses to CCL Industries for a cash price of $500 million, with the transaction expected to close in mid-year. The firm will use the net sale proceeds of about $400 million for the repurchase of shares and to make an additional pension contribution. The aggregate 2012 adjusted EBITDA for OCP and DES was roughly $110 million
