These planned asset sales will be made from a broad portfolio of assets that are not central to the company’s strategy as the leading aggregates producer in the fastest-growing regions and urban markets of the United States. Pool Corp. (NASDAQ:POOL): Pool Corp. reports Q4 EPS (21c) vs. consensus (22c). The shares closed at $36.89, up $2.59 or 7.55% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $22.60 to $36.02.

V.F. Corp. (NYSE:VFC): Says headwinds include foreign currency translation ad higher pension expense. Says “well on our way” toward achieving goal of 40% of revenues from international markets by 2015. The shares closed at $147.92, up $4.67 or 3.26% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $85.60 to $146.63.

Viropharma Inc. (NASDAQ:VPHM): ViroPharma announced data from the pivotal study for their orphan drug Plenadren (hydrocortisone, modified release tablet) for treatment of adrenal insufficiency in adults showing that the once daily dual-release tablet provided a more circadian-based serum cortisol profile, and that reduced body weight, reduced blood pressure, and improved glucose metabolism were observed during once daily treatment, compared to treatment with immediate release hydrocortisone three times per day. Glucose metabolism improved in patients with concomitant diabetes mellitus. The preference of once daily versus three times per day treatment was assessed to be large or very large by 85% of patients at 12 weeks.

The shares closed at $32.31, up $0.76 or 2.41% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $14.62 to $31.99.
